My profile is of my pet dog. He pretty much runs the house. But he has big brown eyes, and white eyelashes. He follows me everywhere I go.

Tell us about your Profile Pic
by Beck_Melbourne injust wondering about some of the profile pics...i think its nice to know a bit about the person you want us see, or the person you don't want us to see.
so what were you thinking when the pic was taken, how long ago, and where were you?
mine was taken last month, just after my 36th birthday.

ARE JW'S MORE HONEST THAN OTHERS?
by minimus inone thing that the witnesses promote is how they are different from the rest of the world.
in your personal experience , did you find that you could trust a witness more than you could a non-jw?

Are they honest (heck no) not from the experience I have had with them.
I believe they do not own dictionaries in their homes, because they do not know what the word "honest" means,
They lie, gossip etc. etc.
I personally would not trust them.

She is dying
by Vivamus ini have never felt more helpless in my life.
my grandma is sick, dying, and there is nothing i can do.
when i look at her, i see this echo of a woman that once was vital, strong and alive.

I send you my deepest sympathy. Stay close to your Grandmother for as long as you can. We went through losing 2 fathers in the same year, I feel your pain. Hang in there.
Big Hugs to you.

Do We CHOOSE to be depressed?
by Crystal inthe answer to that question is yes!!
we always want the easy way out , a pill, a religion , a shrink to make us happy.no one can make you happy but you.start taking control of your own life and your own brain and stop depending on others.
xena posted this the other day.

I totally agree with Scully on this one. Ones who get depressed, just plain and simply cannot just "snap out of it" or for that matter, make themselves happy.
Try one day, not even that one half day of total depression, and see the affect it has on a person.
It is a definate up and down hill struggle, and unless you experience it, you have no! idea what it does to a persons emotional being.

My heart goes out to you, I just had to let go of one of my kitty's a short time ago, sweetie, I know how you feel and my heart is breaking for you. We have such a strong bond with our beloved animals, and when we must say good-bye to them, it is heart-wrenching. I shed tears for your sorrow, and want to let you know I am thinking of you. Hugs and Kisses.

If I where you, I would put up the tree, and enjoy the excitement with your knew bride, what is important now is the life the two of you have togeather, your father has already expressed how he feels. Do what your wife would like, that would make the two of you happy.
It took me 4 years to decorate, only because of fear of what JW's would think of me, now I do what makes me happy. You can't please everybody, please yourself.

Hey - this weekend is our 28th
by Makena1 insabine and i will be celebrating our 28th anniversary this weekend!
woooohoooo!
and they (parents and gloom and doomers from the kh where we first met) said it would not last because we were in our teens when we got married - me 19, her 18.. we have been through some very tough times, (the hardest of course the death of our daughter) - however, the good times and prospects for the future far outweigh the bad.

Will not be here on weekend, my best bud Orangefatcat and I are going away, Friday is my Birthday, so we are going to celebrate.
I want to take the opportunity now to say CONGRATULATIONS to you both on the weekend and have a good one. Today is our Anniversary (31 years) not counting the 4 years we dated before.
