Shunning.....
by Shytears ini could never really understand why jw's shunned the d'f or d'a persons.i have always tought it to be really unloving and cruel,i mean ignore the person and act like their invisable,no i wont do it.
well hello,im back.i have been ok past week, well to start my story off,i want to paint my room,so my mom and i went to walmart yesterday to buy some paint.we meant up with one of my mom jws friends and her 2 daughters, one is dissfellowshipped, the daug.that is d/f my family and her were really close, and she was like a big sister to me,she was also so sweet and very loving, shes 18, anyways after we were about to leave my mom goes,"i cant help it im going give desiree a hug"wow she did,my mom is not wicked after all,(i always would talk to her when i would see her and give her a hug, whenevr we would meet up some place, hehe)well i went give her a big hug too,and it felt good, and i hope she got some sort of comfort knowing that not everyone feels she is an evil person.
anyways while we were driving home,my mom says to me,u know people either gonna think were spiritually weak for doing that, are that we are very nice.i was like let them,i feel im doin the right thing by not acting like shes not a person.i hate shunning!!

The world needs more people like you.
shunning hurts.
Your actions show you have a mind of your own, don't lose that quality.

Oh My Goodness, I was just listening to a song on the radio, and it brought back some memories. I think this is the saddest song I have yet heard. My daughter was young age 9 or 10, and a little girl in her school had just died of cancer, and we were to attend her funeral, and there I sat surrounded with little girls, then the sister of the little girl got up, and played on the piano a song called "The Rose." by Bette Midler. The whole place was in tears, it was the most moving experience I have ever had, to sit there and watch these little girls morn over the lose of a friend. God Bless this little child. In memory of her, they soon after this funeral planted a tree at the school, and hung a plaque in her remembrance. The song the sister played apparently was her sisters favorite. I was just overwhelmed and cried along with the rest, as I handed out tissues to all around me.

None of your business
by JH inbeing a jehovah witness, did you feel obliged to have a 4 door car?
once i bought a 2 door car, and everyone was looking at me as if i commited a crime.
i then reasoned with them saying, "didn't jesus send his deciples by groups of 2?".

Sure did feel like a 4-door was supposed to be their form of transport. Thing was I should have put a taxi sign on the top, and a meter inside, I bet no one would have asked for a ride then.

WHY I HAVE A DOG
by target indogs don't turn into teenagers.
they don't care about clothing styles.
they don't get depressed about friends.

Let me see:
So he can sniff our guests crotch.
So he can go into that litter room and eat cat do-do.
So I can pick up his do-do off the lawn.
So I can brush his hair, no one does mine.
So I can vaccum his hair off the furniture.
So he can take over my bed and leave me with no covers or room.
So he can sit and stare at me while I eat, and think it is his food.
I love my pets, cause when they are gone, you have great memories of them, good and not so good.
But most of all it is that unconditional love they give to you, when you come in the door and they are soooo excited to see you, like you have been gone forever.

Could You Live Without Your CellPhone?
by SpannerintheWorks ini rely on it for business.
some reports say that they cause brain tumours...?
they also save a lot of lives (indirectly, of course) by allowing the user to dial for emergency services when there isn't a payphone nearby.

Could if we had to, but found them necessary to carry around especially when in the car, for emergency situations etc. We came across a fatal accident, needed to use it then, and our daughter age 24 has one, as she drives alone sometimes, and we just feel a little more secure that she has it in case she needs to call for help. We all used to drive lets say vehicles that would run most of the time, but had the occasional break-down, a cell phone comes in handy in such situations.

Josh Grobin "To Where You Are." I believe is the title
and the new one by Celine Deon about her Momma.
I am so not good at remembering names and titles.
and yes Tears in heaven.

When to put up Christmas decorations?
by Simon in.
the kids are very keen on having a christmas tree and some decorations.. is there any date these are supposed to go up or are we going to look really silly having it up mid november ?

I have noticed many around here put theirs up soon after halloween decorations are down. There are no set rules for when you should decorate, just do it when you want to. Ours are going up now.
