    Geesh. Lets see.

When I got baptized the first time. When I confessed and got reproved. When I requested rebaptism. When I confessed to masturbation. When I confessed to fornication. When I got DF.

1,2,3... Thats Six. At least. Is that unusual?

Okay LD. Youve piqued my interest. What were you doing in front of a commitee at 12 ??. Sounds unusual.

I forgot one by the way, I was in front of a commitee when details about the "Mitta Mitta river canoe trip" became public knowledge. Thats 7 for me.

Lost Diamond....What did you do at twelve that needed the elders attention???

What did they think your parents were for??

I was in front of the committee for many trips. Disfellowshipped when I was eighteen, publicly reproved when I was 27. I just couldn't get it out of my head that I didn't need to go amd tell them what I was doing?

All totaled probably thirty times give or take? When you go before them they will dig and try to find out other things that you are doing.

This arrangement is almost a criminal act??

I guess you don't mean just a formal judicial committee. I was in front of the JD once when I was DF. When I was younger I was in the room with the elders about my being a drum major in the band. But that was all the elders. My dad was an elder to, but he didn't seem to happy with the rest of the elders at that meeting. Then I was in the room with a couple of them later about my field service time being down and they were going to stop using me for mikes and stuff. So I met with them 3 times for 'negative' things. I met with one or two elders numerous other times for other stuff. Like being a unbaptized publisher, getting baptized, when they would start back using me on mikes and stuff, when they started having me say prayers, etc.

Let's see, once for drinking under age, once for supplying booze to other "christians" who were underage, while I was underage, once for swearing like a sailor (even though the elders were worse than me), once for going to see The Rocky Horror Picture Show.................dat's about it........

Only twice before a formal judicial committee, once for smoking, once for....I don't like to talk about the df'ing offense.

Now as to how many times I was called into the back room for browbeating counseling, or to respond to slander and innuendo accusations, or just because the elders needed an emotional punching bag to let off some steam misunderstood something....I lost count by the time I was 17. Finally after a few years they seemed to lose interest when I stopped "standing out" as a zealous young brother who was aux. pio.'ing every month and reaching out for MS and just became a nice young publisher.

.."Disfellowshipped when I was eighteen, publicly reproved when I was 27. I just couldn't get it out of my head that I didn't need to go amd tell them what I was doing"...

Breeze. Therefore you must have been reinstated. Have you been DF twice? just curious. I knew a guy was DF three times. That must be some kind of record. As for the feeling of having to confess everything, well, I was the same, confessing every 5 minutes.

Palm. true!! Only you could have thought of it in those terms. lol sis

2 (I think) Once for something I did, and once as a witness to what someone else did. It was a disturbing experiece. They took forever - I just wanted out of there, and I knew what they would do before I even went. Private reproof, which for a lowly woman amounted to little more than no commenting (big loss, that) but OF COURSE they still wanted me to go out in service!
