Who are animal lovers here??????

and no i don't mean the man, the poster animal!!!!!!!!!!!!!

although he is loveable............... i love animals, i have two dogs, a black lab named snoopy and a pug, named pug.

sometimes we call him pig, or dig, or mama's little baby.

I love animals, yes the one on my profile is our pet dog, and yes he is sitting at our table with his place mate and bowl. He is a little spoiled.

We also had two cats, but one got very ill, and had to be put down. We still have our other one, she is orange and white and very affectionate.

Valis those hedgehogs are sooooooo cute, I was able to see one once I just love them.

I'm so bad if I see a dog walking down the road by itself I think it is a stray and want to bring it home. My husband says, but dear it has a collar on and is probably going home.

At one time, we had a german shepherd, and a golden lab, and a black lab, and many cats through the years.

I dont trust anyone!

humans cant be trusted thats my attitude!!!!

i say this because its true, think about it takes years to get to know someone, maybe 10 years later you may say i really trust this person or persons,but all sudden those you thought you could trust do something to hurt you,betrayal,theft,backstabbing,assault,dishonesty,liar,deception,etc.even on here i dont really know any of you, all i do is just type and that suits me, you seem to be people of all walks of life some upset,confused,happy etc.but that doesnt mean what you say in your words reflects the "real you" .whether you belive in god or evolution etc it makes no difference we all have imperfect desires in us and give it the right moment and they may be unleashed,you may think im paranoid but "im not" i just dont have much trust for humans good or bad and i dont even trust myself sometimes.

I fully and completely trust my best bud OFC. I consider her my sister that I never had. She is a person one can count on for everything. She was there when I needed her the most, and I will always be thankful for that.

However, I trust she will not beat my butt at bagammon next time we play.

If there was a time when you need someone the most, she is the one to go to.

I can usually pick out persons who I cannot trust easily, never used to be able to, but when people treat you like crap, you learn quickly. But there is still some out there who you can really trust.

Trust in yourself, to know who they are.

Were you df'd while suffering depression???

i have a son who was disfellowshipped while suffering serious depression and who was not actively "sinning".. i feel this is outrageous and want to know how widespread the practice is.

please tell me what your experiences are, i am interested and want to try to get the brothers to factor this in, so we can stop losing people to depression.

I was very depressed, about alot of things, but do not really want to speak about it as it would make me feel bad. Depression can really make havoc with your life.

YESTERDAY AT THE BEACH !!

yesterday hubby and bigfloppyday and i spent the day up at lake huron at sauble beach.

i don't know if any of you have ever been there before or not , but it is a beautiful place, 14 km of sandy shore.

and the waves are so high at times its just the greatest beach of all, at least for me.

Kitty, Kitty, Kitty: You are soooooo right, the day a Sable Beach was excellent, the waves were great. I have sunburn on my back, my leg cramp is much better, at least I can stand, and thank goodness for those floaty toys we used, or I may have gone under with the waves. I really got a great kick out of you flashing your, well you know at us once in a while. That was sooo funny. Thank you for beating my butt at backgammon, I'll get you next time dear. Oh and so sorry the sea-gull pooood on you while you were trying to enjoy your picnic lunch. What a memorable day. I had a great time.

i know the whole sentiment of beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

even rod sterling had his say on the matter (boy i loved that episode).. what is beautiful in your opinion?

This is a great subject:

Beauty can be defined in many ways, I look at the inner beauty, whats inside, ones heart, how they feel about themselves, about others. How they responed to others in happiness and sorrow etc. Beauty is not only skin deep.

Beauty is found in peoples poems, where often you will find their heartfelt feelings.

Beauty is seen watching children grow.

Beauty is seeing things in the spring starting to grow.

Beauty is taking care of your elderly parents, who took care of you.

Beauty goes on and on.

Seeking your opinions on contacting relatives

it's been eight years since i have spoken to any of my relatives.

some (cousins, nieces, nephews) were young children at the time; now some are 18 and older.

they are not allowed to speak to me, but of course those rules don't apply in the reverse.

I would definately call, send your love, leave your number, and let them choose if they wish to contact you. You never know in the future if they may decide to leave and need someone to come to.

Letting go of JW relatives (Long)

i've been out of the jws for some time now, seven years.

like many of you, i left a lot of acquaintances, friends, and family behind.. the acquaintances were fairly easy to let go, the friends very hard, and the family, well, near impossible, at least up until now.

that she should listen to both sides of the story without fear and make her own decision.

Very Good point Queenie, maybe someday I will feel exactly the same way towards relatives, right now the anger is still strong.

Update: My Uncle's funeral

well my friends....my real friends...the funeral is over.

i can count 5 witnesses...only 5, that offered any sort of comfort to me.

those are the ones that i know really love(d) me.

FD: Sorry this situation happened to you, and congratulations to your Aunt who had the guts to stand up to these people. I was in a situation at a funeral where I was showed FALSE love at the start, I figure so they could put on a big front and pretend they cared. After funeral, I had invitation to go back to house, by my (elder) brother-in-law. I refused, and said why should I come and be treated like dirt? He said that would not happen. I still did not go. Later I found out when someone came up to him and asked if I was going to be at the house, his coment SHE was not included in this part of the funeral. Oh the funeral was my step-dad's. May he rest in peace. I am very hurt and even angry that he told a bold-faced lie. If I could I would love for the rest of the elders at his congregation, which used to be my congregation to know what a liar he really is. He likes to kiss ass I guess. I am still hurting over this outrage of lying.
