Cancer
by Sirona inyou might think i'm being picky here, please dont take this the wrong way.
the thing is, i'm stuggling with my health at the moment and am going in hospital to see if my cancer has spread.. heres my gripe: some people (noone on this board) say to me, over and over, that they know someone who had skin cancer and they're fine now....how they can just remove the mole and everything is fine.
well for the purposes of educating people:.

I'm getting a Tattoo, it doesn't hurt, right?

my older son and i are going down one day this week and getting it done.
it's a tribal turtle.

Xandria, that is a lovely tatoo.
LB I think it depends on the location of the tatoo as to pain, my daughter has 3 some hurt and some do not she said.
She has one around her belly-button, a real conversation piece for doctors when she becomes pregnant and larger in belly. One arm band, and a dolphin on her back (at top) I like them all. My son has a Scottish tatoo on his arm. She said the one on her back was more painful.
I hope it is not to painful for you.

My Mom Won't Shun Me!
by voltaire ini feel a little guilty about this, because i know that so many of you have lost contact with your families, but i thought you might find it interesting that my mother has told me, via my father, that she won't shun me even if i'm df (which is a very real possibility).
i'm not coming out unscathed (does anybody?
) since my marriage is set to end in the next couple of weeks, but i'm so grateful that i'll still have my mom.

You are so lucky to have a mom like that, one who sees through all the teachings, and is kind-hearted enough to believe that family comes first.I wish all mothers could be like that, I am happy for you.I personally as a mothe could never do that to my family (shun them) that is, it is just not in my nature no matter what I was taught.
Give her a big hug and kiss, she surely deserves one.
There is something terribly wrong when families are divided like that.

Favorite books
by StinkyPantz ini love
to read but i've recently gotten bored with it; mostly because i've read all of the books by my favorite authors: stephen king, dean koontz, mary higgins clark, john saul
james patterson.

When I started reading, I went through the whole series of V.C. Andrews, the first being "Flowers In The Attic."
I outgrew those, now It is Stephen King, just finished for the second time "Bag Of Bones."
I have read some of Dean Koontz, and Danielle Steel.
A book really has to keep my interest, or I get bored. I read just before bed, which is real good, but reading to me is like a sleeping pill, I may get through a page or two, then I find I am fast asleep, still with the book in my hand. There are some real good books out there.

Women. Periods, and how to cope with them .....
by Celtic inputs plugs in his ears from the start.. now, it don't seem to be my imagination, but many ladies for some inexplicable reason seem a tad unreasonable at least once a month where anything i do seems to be wrong in their eyes.
most ruddy irksome it is from a guys point of view i can tell ee.
here we are, quite happy in our own right, say something to this here balmpot, and wowwwwww irritable utterances just tumble forth with such degrees of unreasonableness tis almost funny to observe, but dare i laugh in their presence whilst she be in this most unpredictable of states?
