  wal-mart announced that, sometime in 2007, it will begin offering customers a new discount item ---- wal-mart's own brand of wine.

  the world's largest retail chain is teaming up with ernest & julio gallo winery of california to produce the spirits at an affordable price, in the $2 - $5 range.

  wine connoisseurs may not be inclined to put a bottle of wal-mart brand into their shopping carts, but "there is a market for inexpensive wine," said kathy micken, professor of marketing at university of arkansas, bentonville.

  The beauty of Wal-Mart wine is that it can be served with either white meat (Possum), red meat (Squirrel) or Catfish.
  
  P.S. Don't bother writing back saying that this is a hoax. I know possum is not a white meat.

  i learned an interesting fact from my father's doctor when he was being treated for a stroke.

  mom had mentioned that even though dad couldn't speak well enough to ask for a glass of water he could clearly say, "goddammit".

  the dr. explained that epithets are from a different part of the brain and this area had not been affected by the stroke.. i found this very interesting.

  JAVA that was so awesome to see larc's picture. I used to talk to him for what seemed like hours on the phone, he told the funniest jokes! Ona and I were just talking about him and ZaZu. I miss him. RIP sweetie.

  Animal, we've met him.....Ona and I have had the honor of eating a wonderful meal at his house that his wonderful wife cooked. Met his whole family very cool peeps!

  So lets see I've met Barbara and Joe Anderson, Mulan, Princess and Steve, blueyes, joyzabel, seven006, AlanF and JukieF, Carmel, Sabine and hubby Makena1,VeniceIT, Swan, searcher who came all the way from England and stayed with us! A bunch of the locals here too, too many to remember!

  I always feel like I already know the posters when I met them IRL, hardly any surprises all a bunch of great people too!

  My 17 year old daughter has so many problems

  well, my 17 year old has left home in a horribly negative way.

  she has had many problems for many years.

  she ran away a year ago, we dragged her home, took her to the hospital for bulimia and suicidal tendencies.

  Yesterday was a really really bad day for me. One thing my husband said though is helping me. He said that I am the one paying for her decisions and that it is ruining my life, this baby's life before it is even born, his life and ultimately our 12 year old's life. That I have to pull it together for 4 other lives now.

  Awe Jez my heart aches for you. I know too well when a child strays we tend to blame ourselves, what did we do wrong? Please don't stay there too long it can truly hold you back from experiencing all the wonderful joys of life right in front of your eyes like you husband said.

  Don't waste any more time on someone who isn't ready to receive the love you have to offer her right now. Some day she'll come around that's the best you can hope for. I know it sounds harsh but really she is controlling you from miles away and ruining 4 other peoples lives in the process. Does she really get to have that power over you?

  Have a good cry, morn her loss and move forward to all the wonderfulness of the new life within you and a husband who is so far standing by your side don't let that slip away, don't let her do that to you.

  Big hugs I know I've been there and am doing that right now.....sigh. We have to be the strong ones, it does teach them by example.

  I hardly used the "F" like you I thought it one of the most deplorable words in the English language, or any other language for that matter.

  After my life went to hell....oh I used all kinds of other cuss words all my life much to my Mother's chagrin she reasoned that since our Dad cussed like a sailor how was she able to stop us kids but she did always correct us! So back to the story....after learning of my X's affair and the whole bamshuckled ordeal dealing with the Elders and all, I started using the F work a lot....still do, although I do speak proper out of respect of others most of the time.

  My husband even sometimes blushes when I get going and he's a big strapping construction worker! LOL I ain't ashamed of nuttin! I honestly chalk it up to holding things in so much when I was a JW that it's a release for me to just say what I darn well mean to say and some words, well sometimes you only need that one word that says it all.

  Bike Run: 9 States, 11 Days, 3,757 Miles

  the ride was really good.

  traveling on the bike is great therapy.

  Speaking of Utah, I stopped at the Flaming Gorge Dam (it was 100+ degrees when I was there and I felt like I was on fire) and read an entry in the visitors book. It said something like, "An amazing place. What a blessing from Jehovah God." Rather an odd comment about a hydroelectric dam. After I had left it occurred to me that I should have drawn an arrow and written freeminds.org or something. But I was dehydrated and road weary so I didn't think of it in time.

  I think you should go back and fix that entry!

  Beautiful country and I really enjoyed seeing the pictures. How cool you met some peeps from the JWD too!

  Sometimes I do miss riding on the back of a Harley with the wind blowing through my, helmet, sigh.

  Sad News Orangefatcat's husband died this morning.

  this is one of the sadest days in my life, my beloved husband marco passed away this morning at 5:15 am.. it has been a dreadful day.

  but my dear friend was with most of the day while we went togerther to make funeral arrangements.. that was really hard on me.

  i have done nothing but cry and cry all day, i finally fell asleep a few hours ago while my friend diane was here and she let me sleep.
