I had to fire somebody this morning

it had been coming.

i hired an employee last year out of desperation since medical transcriptionist in this area are extremely hard to find.

this person had experience and had been employed at one place for a long time so i thought i would give this person a try.

I agree totally with what Nathan Natas said. Having been an employee of a company who constantly hired and kept bad employees I know how it breaks down the moral of the whole team.

If the company I had worked for would have kept to higher standards I would probably still be there but I got tired of being the only one in my department that actually did work and showed up on time and stayed in my department and worked during my scheduled working hours!

You did everyone including yourself a great service, hard to do but then who said life is easy? LOL

have you ever noticed that around here more is said when people are silent than when they are talking sometimes.

not anything in particular, i just noticed that when people get silent, there usually is a reason.

hard times, drama, can't comment...etc.

I'm in the down side of my life, the Golden Years, over the hill and it just goes faster on this side, believe me. Why it seems like yesterday I was ringing in the New Year....the Millenium one.......sigh.

I'm quiet these days because I just want/need to soak up the now, it's so fleeting and all this other BS is just so not where I'm at. I have a need to listen quietly and enjoy the moments because I find I can hardly remember these moments and yesterday is so loud with all the woulda, coulda, shoulda that is never to be. What is is now and that's where I'm striving to be, in the now.

So I observe quietly with a whisper I speak so as not to disturb my concentration on today, this minute this time which is so fleeting.

Life is for the young, you have so much ahead of you and I wish you and yours all the best life has to offer and that's not just to you Sparky and Sixy but to everyone. We all deserve it, we are after all survivors of a cult.

What's Your Favorite Seinfeld Episode?

my favorite all time episode is the tennis/j peterman incident where kramer is walking across the tennis court and a racquet goes flying and hits a machine and kramer gets pelleted with tennis balls.

another really good one is when newman smells kramer basting on the roof and starts seeing him as food.. .

My favorite one is Junior Mint!

Jerry has a date with a woman whose name he has forgotten, but it "rhymes with a female body part." Could it be "Mulva"? Elaine visits an old boyfriend who's in the hospital for an operation; he was once fat, thin she's interested again. Kramer gets an opportunity to witness the operation and he drags Jerry along, while watching they have an accident with a "Junior Mint."

Kramer: Who's gonna turn down a Junior Mint? It's chocolate, it's peppermint -it's delicious!
Jerry: That's true.
Kramer: It's very refreshing!

Google Earth

how many of you use google earth, and what do you think of it?.

I love Google Earth! I recently was talking to my son who lives over a thousand miles from me and we both got on Google Earth and looked at each others houses.

What we found was interesting......the picture we saw of each others houses was at least two or more years old! We could tell by landmarks and also the autos parked in our driveways! Weird!!

Anyone else notice that? How could the information be so old?

What You Gonna Do With All That Junk ...

that you've accumulated over the years during your involvement with the wts?.

i look back over mine and i don't feel anything.

it's as if the past 34 years were ???.

My mother, who deceased on 9-21-05, does also. That's why I'm in such a funk. I'm thinking about her death and how I was always so busy that I hardly had any time for her.

Awe (((((Sylvia))))) those anniversary dates always get us.....happens to me too. I have managed to successfully with much planning on my part make it through an anniversary date without so much as a nanosecond of a thought about the "dates" past history.

It helps to plan ahead, like you, I have so many "dates" wrapped up in memories of JW stuff and just about the time I think I'm doing good I start scrap booking again and there are those pictures......ugg! I have put most of the JW people in one box, not to be opened and some day I hope to have a burning box ceremony, I'm not there yet, sigh. My junk I'm holding onto, why???

I got rid of all but my Bible™ and Reasoning™ book, I may have one of the Song Books™ and my old book bag with my old service record book, why? LOL I guess after nearly 50 years in the B'org that's scaled down a lot! I was smart I left it all with my X when I left him! LOL
