i rarely use such language - except when it makes a point that needs emphasis - and this one does.. .

i have run into 3 witnesses in the past couple of days.

Because they treat people like sh*t! See? You don't need any of that ' 607 chronology' esoterica. You don't need
to research which Watchtower President had a mistress or an obsession with being gay or whatever. This sums it all up
without even using a complete sentence! The amazing thing is, that so many 'loyal' Witnesses know this to be true!
They believe "it's the truth" - even though they can regale you with long horror stories about what the "organization" has done
to them. I'm often tempted to tell them , "wouldn't it be great if the organization acted like Christians?" - but that might be
too much for them to grasp.

God this is so true! When I left and decided to go back, it was over the lack of kindness and "genuine Christian love". Genuine WHAT?! I didn't know then what I know now about 607 and Malawi and blood fractions. But now that I know too much, I know enough. Enough to know that it's NOT God's Earthly Organization and that I'm NEVER going back.

the 5 senses are incredible along with the sixth sense, our intellect/aesthetic appreciation.. i can't get over how much there is to experience.

it is mind boggling.. the feel of clay being molded into a bowl.

She's in Dallas this week, so we're having a party at my place!) I hope to experience something wonderful with all of my senses tonight. Man I had a crush on Charles Ingalls so bad when I was a little girl! But when Laura met Almanzo (was that his name?) then I forgot all about Charles. LOL!

So strange now to think about having a crush on a man WAY old enough to be my dad. What would Freud think of that?

My Scan Results

as many of you will know, yesterday i received my scan results from the haematologist.

when i entered his office he was beaming and so i thought the news would be good.

the chemotherapy has shrunk the cancerous lymph nodes in my stomach substantially!!

Thoughts on forgivness...Is there a process?

though this they actually have learned why it is they need it (forgivness).

am i backwards on this?

i work with people and ex husbands who profess to love god, and all the while when they are angry they ask for god's help to forgive people.

I am so sorry about the injustices of that dentist. I know how hard it hurts to have a boss like that. Sometimes I relieve the tension by just thinking "that's the way things were meant to be". I don't mean that it was meant for me to get screwed at a job or have a boss that's an @$$. But that it was a purposed filled experience. If that experience was helping me learn something...about myself or others...then it wasn't wasted. I try to look at it like it's a challenge, a lesson, a workout experience that is supposed to make me stronger and smarter. Stronger and smarter then the person who has persecuted me. So my question to myself is "Did I pass?" or "Did I make the grade?" If I got through it fairly unscathed and having learned something, then the answer is always yes. Sometimes I can't say that for awhile after the experience has passed. But eventually it makes letting the anger go a little easier. It makes the Revenge Monster a little more quiet.

I don't know if that helps or not, but it's something I've learned that does help me. I have to force myself to be a little more cerebral and a little less emotional about it.

At first, I struggled immensely with finding myself. I was really on my way to being a good little drone if it weren't for my raging hormones as a teenager. My DFing was the best thing to ever happen to me. Seriously. The pain was excruciating when it happened, but since then I am so grateful. No pain no gain. But now that I'm out, I'm so happy to have figured out I'm not crazy, am capable of loving, deserving of being loved, and that God is my Father...not some guy in the sky putting checkmarks next to my name everytime I swear, think the wrong thing, or waiting to punish me for every little thing I do wrong.

Life is free. Free is good.

How did you come to JWD ?

i came to jwd back in 2001, i was under a different name then.

i do not remember if i was introduced by gumby who is a dear friend of mine or if i had found this site through freeminds.org i was when i first came here pretty bitter as i went through pure hell with the jw faith and my family who are jw.. i was ready for a fight, and ready to rip anyones head off if they crossed me wrong.

i was bitter at the religion for almost fooling me twice as i was a mormon in my teenage years.

I'm only sorry the internet and this site weren't available 19 years ago. I could have saved myself a massive amount of pain and anguish. As it is, many others WILL be saved by coming here.

But Ian, would you have been "ready"? We can have all the info in front of us, as MOST JWs do, but many are just not "ready". I know I wasn't. Timing is everything. I was ready to be here when I showed up.
