I'm glad to hear you're doing well! If it makes you feel better, I missed the Dallas apostofest too. I got "glutened" that day and was in no shape to be at a party. I hated missing everyone.

everyone knows you can't enjoy a good pint without a packet of crisps, but that's where the debate lies, what flavour do you choose, sure, ready salted is a good flavour you can't go wrong with, but really your tastebuds require something a little more, well, flavoured.
so what's your favourite crisp flavour?
personally i like tangy cheese dorito's they compliment a pint of fosters so well... .
I love just the plain salted chips. Here in the US, Kettle Chips are really good. Fried in peanut oil gives them a crunchiness you don't have in a lot of chips. But my second favorite is Zapp's Cajun Craw Taters! I don't know if they're regional to the south, but they are YUM MEE!

some of you may remember larc and zazuwitts, who used to post here regularly.. .
i heard from zazu today that sadly larc passed away this morning.
he died peacefully in his sleep of heart failure.
I'll bet my old friend will get me for this one way or another. :)

here is another "solution" on an ongoing series i am developing to help "unbelieving mates", or ubm's, to reach their jw partner.
each "solution" is part of a toolkit of ideas that the ubm can modify for their situation.
i am a natural strategist, so it was fairly easy for me to come up with ideas and a plan, based on the temperament and personality of my jw partner.
Being on my second marriage, I realize this is one of the best tools I have ever learned:
I am learning to negotiate.
I wish I had learned it earlier. Not so much for my first marriage, but for other relationships in life. I could have made things so much easier for myself.

I'm glad to hear you are doing well. I always think of you and Carl, rather like brothers in Ohio. He had mentioned to me how close you were and how you'd known each other.
Carl was one of the first people I ever spoke to on this forum. I teasingly sent him my phone number several years ago, thinking, "Ah...he'll never call me." He called within just minutes. Completely took me off guard. LOL! But even after just a few minutes of speaking with him, I realized what an amazing man he must be in person. I always enjoyed him on this forum, but in person I'm sure he was just that much ornerier.
When you see Jan, please give her a big hug for me. And if you don't mind...at the funeral...put a rose down for those of us here at JWD.

anyone want to talk about home decorating????
i have been in this tiny cabin now for 4 years since my dfing and i am starved for space and the ability to decorate.
while a jw i was in a 3 bedroom home.
I used to think I had good taste in decorating. And then I got this part-time job with an interior designer. I look back at my stuff from just six months ago and go "Ewww!". LOL! But one of the cool perks about my job is that I get free design consultations from my boss. She came over a few weeks ago and helped redecorate my living and dining room. It looks so much better now! But I will tell you the first thing I had to do: Get rid of stuff I didn't want. I went through all of my things and anything that didn't have sentimental value to me got put in a box. Anything else that I loved and had some kind of "connection" with, I put in another box. When my boss used my items to decorate with, she only used the things in my sentimental box. The other box is going in our yard sale this weekend. I have to say, getting rid of junk and simplifying my decorating "style" has really made my living space so much more comfortable. I decided to let someone else get enjoyment out of the things I no longer need. So that's the first and sometimes most difficult step. But in that process, I've realized I love the simple, contemporary, Zen style of decorating right now. The less I have the better!

I know it's hard to find a soul mate out there. But he's there. Just have patience and faith that it comes when you least expect it. In the meantime, keep studying the bible on your own and you'll learn more than you ever realized you could learn. I have a close relationship with Jehovah and Jesus Christ, but it's not through the Watchtower. It's directly with them.
