I have to choose one? *sigh* I can't do it.
Okay...I'll stop now.
well my sercuit overseer visit was this week and this guy is a real a-hole.
apparently our mic handlers are pretty slow.
they always take forever to give the mic to the hand-raiser and sometimes even forget to turn the stupid things on first.
I know our church has a separate "fragrance free" section that hyper-sensitive people can sit in. I don't imagine it's that hard to make a few rows of that in the back for those people. But then, that would be the thoughtful thing to do.

I assume that there are people who genuinely suffer from hyper-sensativity to perfumes and things...
There are...and it usually has to do with have a lowered immune system or auto-immune disorder. I have celiac and I'm hyper sensitive to a lot of sprayed anything and other chemicals. With all the stress that a JW life puts you under, I'm surprised there aren't more people that have those same issues.
I do know that after the first visit from that CO couple, several women in the congo suddenly developed the same problem and could no longer attend meetings because the rest of the "friends" were so uncaring as to continue wearing aftershave, scented deodorant and perfume and lotion, and to wash their hair using scented shampoos or cream rinses.
Maybe this is a new idea for someone who is wanting to fade? Who's to say that those sisters were just looking for a way to get out of meetings. Sounds pretty smart to me.
*cough cough* I'm so sorry. *sneeze* I just can't be at the meetings *cough* when there is so much *achoo* scent in the air.
hello all, the last 24+ hours, i've been at the hospital.
i took my husband in because he was having chest pains.

(((((((Ms McDucket)))))))) I'm so sorry!
lafayette!
it's not exactly a metropolitan hub of excitement, but it is a quaint place.
we bought a house in a little subdivision with one street in/out.
Bryan,
I'm SO glad to know that Life is finally letting you settle down. You guys deserve it after this year! I know your wife has her work cut out for her with decorating and unpacking. I'm sure she'll do a fabulous job!
Blessings,
Andi
there's a (small) possiblity that later this year, the dallas/fort worth area will have another jwd member to call the place home.
i'm browsing places in tarrant county, grapevine, & fort worth.
the houses in fort worth have me floored!
I live in Richardson, just north of Dallas. It's the city where my husband grew up and he knew he wanted to move back when he got married. It's not like the Plano/Frisco/Allen area. It's older, more trees, established families and neighborhoods. Neil and I didn't want to live in a city where it was JUST all new families in neighborhoods with the Q-Tip trees, thus our choice for Richardson. It's also just minutes into Dallas and the Dart Rail runs straight through Richardson. If you need a realtor, a friend of mine was our realtor. She was fabulous! Check her out at www.lindaboxtaylor.com. I'm sure she'd take great care of you! PM me if you want to talk more!
Andi
i've lived here 17 years.

I didn't realize you were in Atlanta. I guess I thought you were further south. You should give Bubbamar a shout. She just got a new place in Cabbage Town. (sp?)
i thought i would let you know that my dad, passed away a little while ago, tonight, january 23. they called me at 6pm to tell me.
he had been failing rapidly for the past month, and had completely lost his hearing and was totally blind.
the dementia was extreme too, and he still knew me on thursday, but didn't wake up to know me in the following days.
((((((Marilyn))))))) I'm so sorry. And relieved for you.
after nearly two years i got fed up with my avatar and decided to change it, i noticed many people change theirs quite frequently.
because doctor evil (mike myers, who surprisingly also plays austin powers and fat scotman in the same films) really made me laugh i decided to put him as the new avatar.
i think myers is canadian.
