fellow jw-com'ers:.
as excited as we are by the events announced by silent lambs and upcoming media attention, i would like to ask people to remember the many silent lambs who simply cannot speak or have not yet found their voice.. these victims should not be made to feel as second class people for their decision to remain silent.
i will not go into all the possible reasons why these victims remain silent.
Amen!

this just popped into my head today while stuck in traffic.. look at this picture of bill gates.... .
this guy looks like the perfect ms... can't you just see him conducting a book study.... i gotta stop drinking so much coffee...
The WTS only WISHES he were part of the Tower! Just think, nobody would have to peddle the magazines anymore. They could just live off the fat of Bill Gates land.

yup i bet the boy learnt a lesson alright............. a six-year-old boy from florida has been arrested for kicking his pregnant mother in the stomach.. the woman decided to call in the police after her son attacked her during an argument.. mattie ashley says she hopes it will serve as a learning experience for the boy, who suffers from hyperactivity disorder.. he has been suspended from kindergarten for kicking a pregnant teacher previously.. mrs ashley said she hoped the police involvement would scare the boy into realising what he did was wrong.. but police said they were not in the business of being used to scare children and refused to let her son go when mrs ashley said she was dropping the charges.. sheriff's deputy jennifer jazdzyk wrote in the arrest report: "i explained to mrs ashley that if she wanted a criminal investigation to take place that it would be followed through to the end, that we were not going to just scare the child with the presence of a deputy.".
the boy, who was not named, was released when state department of juvenile justice officials, who were contacted after his arrest, ordered deputies to release him.. .

Sad. So very sad. How much do you want to be that this mother has a JW mentality???

this is on my site as listed at the end:.
between love and me its late night.
i have just been to another elder meeting, as we used to do.
Randy,
Know that I'm praying for you! I'm so glad you've found a place of solace and healing on this board!
Christian love,

hey ... i'm just getting into the swing of this great 'apostasy' thing right ... ?
... i thought y'all out there might well have a story or two to tell, so ... plz tell me tell me tell me about the most embarrasing thing you ever saw at a meeting ...
I've done the pantyhose stuck in the skirt thing myself. I was only 13 or so and SUPER embarrassed. Of course, my parents always made me sit on the front row, so I'd pay attention. So walking all the way to the front with my butt hanging out for all to see!
The other time was when I was "reading" a comment when I was around 8 or so. The phrase should have been "shimmering city" and I accidently said "simmering shitty". If you could only see the look of horror on the sister's faces. My dad was doing everything he could not to crack up. But he was new in the truth and still had his sense of humor back then!

PS: Ramona - welcome! I hope you stick around and read a little more. You'll find we aren't really that bad.
reading some posts tonite made me think of some advice i was given by a ms one day.. at the kh one sunday, i had genuinely asked brother g. how he was feeling.
i knew he had health problems and could see he was kind of uncomfortable.
he replied that his blood pressure had been high, and he was feeling the effects of it.. he then went on to explain that he rarely goes into detail because most brothers and sisters dont want to hear a persons problems.
My inactive father left my JW stepmom late last year. Told her in an email that he wanted a divorce. She came home to his clothes already gone. They'd been married for 20 years. Mom called me and she was panic-stricken. She had no job - few skills - hadn't worked in several years. All of a sudden she has to support herself and two boys that just started college. The brothers way of comforting her? "You must not be spiritually strong enough or your husband wouldn't leave you. Pray harder, go out in field service more, and study the Watchtower more." Give me a break! How the heck is THAT supposed to help her support herself and two boys? The lack of compassion, love, kindness, and just genuine interest amazes me everytime I read one of these posts. It's so sad. And I feel so helpless to my family that is still stuck in The Tower!
Billygoat - still mourning...
joel, i want you to know i can think of no other poster who shows as much humanity, as much compassion and insight as you, particularly when it comes to the human condition.. thank you for sharing yourself and your journey so openly; i'm grateful for that.
you obviously have picked up many helpful tools in your recovery toolkit, and when you not only share them with us but show how to use them, how they can benefit us, we are the richer.. i need not say more, than that you are loved very much.. maximus.
who once in a while learns from joel a leeeetle more than he needed to, but what else is new?
((((Joelbear))))
You are really one of my favorite people on this board! I love your compassion, wisdom, and forthrightness. Characteristics I try hard to emulate in my own life. Many would do well to follow in your footsteps. You are a shining star amongst this board!
Your friend,
Billygoat

Yadirf,
This is the first negative post I've made directed at a person. But what would God Jehovah think of your intolerance and unkindness? Aren't we to be kind to all men no matter what they're background and lifestyle? How would Jesus Christ treat Joelbear? I cannot imagine him saying to Maximus what you just posted. Can you actually believe that Christ would be that cruel??? I can imagine nothing but kindness and love coming from Christ to Joel. His character is something to be proud of and followed by others!!!
It is people like you that make Christianity look so hypocritical. I'm embarassed to be lumped in the same category as you.

i thought you might like to see a fax i just sent to j. r. brown.
you can also pick it up on the front page of the website, you may also read and download the complaint that states the basis of this lawsuit.

Bill and Maximus,
This is wonderful! Thanks so much for sharing. Yes, now I understand the need for appropriate timing of this release. AWESOME!!!

30 that seems to put jw's at a cross-roads?
i've known so many who have decided to abandon ship at either the age of 30 or either after 30 years of being baptized.
i fall into the former category.
I was DFed when I was 19, but it's just been within the last couple of months that I really feel liberated from the Tower. Surprise - today I turn 30!

i got to go into the star chamber a few years ago, i remember when the elders handling the my case told me and they all seemed to be in agreement with stupid remark: " now bro., i want you to go out and do everything you always wanted to do, and get it out of your system before you come back to us wanting reinstatement!
i was disgusted, i said: wait just a dam min your all supposed to encourage me not to sin and guide me inn ways of righteousness, instead your telling me to go out and sin?
i then said: "something's not right here, if there is a god someone will pay one day for mistreating one of his sheep.. question friends has anyone ever had the borg mp's ever say that to you?
Shane,
I can't say I've ever heard elders say that. It's definitely sick! Why would they say to go sin and get it out of your system??? That's just irrational. But I'm glad that you've found us and hope you stick around. You'll find some interesting characters here as well as some friends!
