  Counting/requesting time how is that based on the Bible?

  after reading auld soul's thread on babtism and the request for over year for any one to justify the wbts' requirements based on scripture,...(with no answer), i started to wonder what are the requests for numbers from the wbts based on.. did christ request a certain amount of time every month for preaching to qualify for what he promised?

  did he count those attending his sermons to justify what he was preaching?

  what about the so called "pioneer" program?

  hezekiah--hah!! my dad, a PO at the time, used this as an example of not listening closely to the speaker. you should have heard the pages turning in the kingdom hall!! until they realized what had happened!!

  i agree with the Question. i don't get it either, which is why i never give the true amount of time i put in the ministry. it should, according to the bible, be between me and god. he knows, so i don't see any reason to tell any man.

  i have another question that i'm going to start a thread on, probably a retread, but so what!

  but you can watch them.

  i would have rather waited to put them up to view in windows media player, cause they are easier to see.

  right now i'm drinking POI-ZIN, and it is a wonderful red wine. for a good beer, try terrapin rye ale. for hard spirits, nothing beats woodford reserve single barrel whiskey.

  if you're not going to mount it on a wall, get a full HD(1080dpi) rear projection tv. for the same price, or close to it, as a plasma or lcd, you can get a larger screen and just about as thin. go to crutchfield.com to find some more info.

  ok winnie, i apologize for getting riled up at your post the other night. please forgive me.

  thinking about why i stay a jw, its simple. its easier to stay than leave. my staying only affects me and my wife(who knows my feelings and pretty much agrees with me. she even knows about this site). leaving would affect many more including some i really care about. i can take it. hell, my wife and i get a few laughs about some things like the last 2 wt studies and every revelation book study.

  i dont remember that much, but arent they suppose to stop by at least once a year to df'd ones?

  or did that change?.

  its coming up to two years now since i was df'd, and not one elder has stopped by...........not that i want them to!.

  they did not drop this rule, however, if one is actively against the witnesses, a known apostate, or has told them not to come by, they wont. some wont anyway. i know of one former elder who wouldn't anyway, but it was because he treated people like shit and couldn't bring himself to go offer them a way back in due to his pride. thank goodness he is no longer serving.

  having read posts over the last few months, i have come to the conclusion that there must be alot of 'active' jw's who still regularly attend meetings/field service etc.. don't you feel that by posting your many and varied topics, usually complaining/disagreeing with the wbts, that you are being hypocritical?

  when you post your information, obtained sometimes in an questionable manner, doesn't it make you question your own underhanded actions?.

  you converse with many on this forum who are disfellowshipped/dissasociated, yet if you knew who these ones were, face to face, you would not give them the time of day!

  first of all winnie, i dont want your approval or respect. you can kiss my ass for all i care. what i do care about is my family, who are devout jw's, my circle of friends that i've acquired thru 30+ years of being a jw. i would lose them all. i could if anyone found out about me on this forum. i dont like many things about jw's, but the same is true about all religions. so i stay.

  i still have friends with whom i still associate with that are df'd. i personally dont care.

  at age 18, i was a regular pioneer.

  at 20, a ministerial servant.

  at 24 an elder.

  baptized at 14, df'd at 20, reinstated at 21, aux. pioneered a short while, df'd again, reinstated again in 2 years, made M.S., gave public talks, mic handler, over sound, territory servant, WT reader, book study conductor, Second School overseer(as a M.S.), deleted after 5 years, stripped of all privileges,almost became inactive, moved to new cong., reproved(for the 4th time along with the d'fings), given mics again, reading WT and BS again, and the elders are "encouaging" me to reach out to be a servant and elder. i'll read and do a mic, but i dont want a title or any more of my time taken.
