  What is a clear, concise definiton of SPIRITUALITY?????

  today's buzzwords are "i'm not religious, i'm spiritual.

  anyone have an understandable meaning to spirituality that's not riddled with doublespeak.

  having a personal relationship with god and giving evidence of this in your life by imitating god's qualities in relationships with any other being. once religion is used to express spirituality, it all goes to waste.

  The New World Translation and Honesty

  after having researched my beliefs of 45+ years, finding so much was really different than what the bible context really taught, i decided to "read" the bible for for the first time to see what it really was saying, taking off the "blinders" of the wt.

  i began reading the greek scriptures first.

  i used the new world translation, knowing if we were to ever reach our grown children, i would need to use that translation to prove anything.

  if you read the bible w/o WTS "binders", you will never come to the same conclusions they come to. no wonder they say that you need their publications to understand the bible!

  in this weeks bible reading we find a shocking account in the book of 1 samuel 14. these verses detail how johnathan and his man-at-arms flashed the philistine army.

  are we to understand that exposing ourselves is accectable theocratic warfare?

  (1 samuel 14:7-8) 7 at this his armor-bearer said to him: ?do whatever is in your heart.

  as a jw, did anyone ever ask you the following.... "if you discovered that jehovah's witnesses weren't really teaching the truth, would you leave them?".

  here again, it's a toughie for most of them.

  if they say "no" they appear a mind-numbed fool.

  Are the Society planning a 'Pledge of Allegiance'? IT MAY BE TRUE!

  i've just learned from a trusted contact at thewatchtower.org 'norris', that the society intend to put a resolution to the congregations shortly - though definately not at the 'special talk' meeting next month.. here's the scary bit.

  this resolution needs to be responded to by all baptized jehovah's witnesses.

  we have not been able to get hold of the wording but have been informed it is intended to provide the brotherhood with the opportunity to affirm their loyalty to jehovah and his organization.

  i resolved at the last DC to not abuse alcohol(along with everybody else there), that one lasted about one day, the same amount of time any other resolution i make.

  ok, in the ever-changing world of ?new light?

  who is going to be the new ?wild beast??

  i was just watching the news and the un is in some pretty bad trouble, teenage prostitution scandal, oil for food scandal, ect.. it seems that they are slipping quickly into insignificance.
