The WTS was started on a lie, perpetuated by lies, everything they believe is a lie!
The believe this, and they believe that, and think its revelation from Jehovah, but it turns out to be the result of GB political machinations, and it affects the lives of the hapless R&F.
Going back would be like that asshole in the matrix who sold out his compatriots in the real world because he wanted to go back to living a pleasant but false dream.
You say these people are your 'friends' but that remains to be seen.
If you continue resisting their call to return to the matrix, and they still have anything to do with you, then you can truly know they are your friend; but since you are already catching hell for the mere act of growing a beard (horrors!) you have good reason to wonder.

Sitting here alone
by thepackage inas i've mentioned, i've stopped going to meetings three months ago, this morning i took my kids to breakfeast and they asked if i was going to meeting.
i told them no becasue i had something to to.
my youngest wanted to know why i have not shaven, really did not respond.

My friend the Package is suppose to get his kids everyother weekend but that is becoming a problem. Let me explain:
His wife is living with her JW parents at the moment... they have a swimming pool and our father in law is the PO of the local congregation so plenty of other JW kids associate with The Package (TP) daughters and they love it, to the point that it is becoming increasingly difficult for TP daughters to want to stay with him when he is suppose to get them since mom has fun things to do.
How can the package turn that tide, how can he compete

Were your prayers ever answered while being a JW
by Grouper indid any of your prayers ever get answered while being a jw even if they where small maybe insignificant?
pesonnally i never really needed my prayers to be answered but one time while the co visited us i was going to work with him durining saturady service i get there at 0930 but service started at 0900. i felt i missed my chance to work with him and show i was commited and i wanted to asked him how i can reconcile the fact i did not believe that noah's flood existed globally with the way the society views it.
i left the kingdom hall pissed off thinking i fu*ked things up, so i kinda said to jah well i messed up gettin some clarity to to my quandry.

Maybe God said "OK you can ask the CO if you want but the answer isn't there. But if it's what you want . . ."

That is soo true in my case. I stopped going to meetings 10/2004 and some of the inadvertent benefits I have enjoyed are:
Lost 30lbs
Did the LA marathon this year and now usually jog 3 miles a day.
Read more books
Have heavily gotten back into music primarily indie/alternative rock
Weight train
Mountain bike every other weekend
Don't drink alcohol as much
AND have a positive outlook on life and see that in general people are good
One more benefit going back to school this fall to get a master's in business management or organizational leadership.
What about you, what inadvertent benefits have you enjoyed because of leaving the truth

So I leave the KH and go down a street I usually do not travel and guess who I saw the CO with the group, I get out of my car and joined the group and worked with the CO. I thought to myself Jah came through big time.
The funny thing about it is that after I worked one door with him then did RV's I asked the CO my question about the flood, I thought to myself yes my answer will be given to me that will squash my doubts. But instead I got a response that sounded like I was bothering him with my trival things and therfore he would not even attemp to answer it. What a let down, the self serving ass could not answer my question so instead he coped an attitude and ignored it.
So much for your prayers being answered.
One more prayer that never got answered was with a reaccuring nightmare I would have. I would call on Jahs name to make it go away but never did until during one of my nightmares I though to myself WTF am I scared about demons when they don't exist and that what I was feeling which I thought were demons was sleep paralysis. Ever since then not one more nightmare.

by nvrgnbk inthe new cd is called zeitgeist.
german for "the spirit of the age".
it's to be released in july of this year.. of the original members, only corgan and chamberlin remain.. sounds decent.. worth checking out..

Here in LA the track that's being played a lot is Tarantula which sounds quite good. If your a fan of The Smashing Pumpkins give Silversun Pickups a listen and tell me they don't sound the same.
