I don't recall ever reading on this - or any other exJW - forum people expressing an expectation that the Watchtower would soon disappear. I certainly haven't seen a main topic that has advanced such an expectation. On the other hand, numberless posters have said that any decline would be gradual, acknowledging that there are so many reasons that "keep" end-times groups surviving despite prophetic failures.

If you think Watchtower is disappearing any time soon…
by Reservations inyou are sadly mistaken.. i hear people say it on here all the time, and dare i say his name *cough* lloyd evans *cough* has said it a number of times, that watchtower is running scared and watchtower is in decline….. we need to put in perspective the decrease from the 2020 report.
if we calculate a yearly -0.6 decrease over a 10 year period from 2020 figures it leaves us the grand total number of witnesses of:.
by 2030: - 7,933,479. by 2040: - 7,471,357. by 2050: - 7,036,154. i agree that this is a significant decrease, but let’s not kid ourselves, the wt organisation will still be alive and well even with an annual 0.6% loss.

Lloyd Evans keeps doing parts on how the JWs are guilty of follwing the bible.
by mickbobcat ini have been watching evans videos for a while.
he keeps attacking the cult for following the bible.
women are to be subservient to men.

Evans is not criticising what the Bible ACTUALLY says, but the J.W interpretation of it.
Phizzy, with all due respect, Lloyd Evans criticizes both what the Bible ACTUALLY says and the JW interpretation of it. He has devoted separate videos to each and has even included extended discussions on verse-by-verse analysis without any reference to JW interpretation. He always includes citations/references to support his presentations.

Prince Andrew, the Walls are Closing In
by Simon inone thing i've learnt over the years is to read between the lines.. that means reading statements carefully.. if you have never met someone, would you say "i have never met them" or would you say "i don't remember ever meeting them"?.
the latter is just a get-out out in case evidence is presented that you did in fact meet them, because there is a photo of you with your arm around them in the upstairs of a pedo's friends, girlfriends house, which you also claim you never went to.. what will happen if the us jails a uk royal?
who knows.. before then i just hope he does another of those "utterly convincing" bizarre interviews to "prove" how he couldn't have done it because he is incapable of sweating (cut to photo of sweating andrew).

Different strokes for different folks.
I wished I had questioned the Bible when I left JW organization because the "risk" for me was I tried to find other groups who had the same JW "Bible-inerrancy" template and that delayed my moving on for years . If people are questioning the organization or waking up more generally, I don't think they would be put off doing so because an ex-JW You Tube channel such as Lloyd's openly criticizes the Bible.
BTW, Lloyd has said on numerous occasions that JWs are not the only ones who pick and choose which Scriptures to interpret literally and which to symbolically or figuratively interpret.
As regards the length of his videos for those who would like to watch them but the length is on the off-putting side, one recommendation is to watch the shorter videos (which come out daily) or treat the longer videos of interest like a book: watch a portion at a time.

Just the Flu eh?
by Slidin Fast inhttps://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/aug/04/fit-and-healthy-man-42-from-southport-who-rejected-vaccine-dies-of-covid.
this has been widely reported by left and right wing news papers.
just food for thought..

Anony Mous needed to have been alive to observe the devastation wrought by the 1918 Spanish flu which literally decimated entire communities. There were no Lockdowns. And it is not okay that the death toll of such pandemics, if left unchecked, is more devastating on those from lower socio-economic communities because immediate health care is not available. Lockdowns help prevent hospitals from being stretched beyond capacity - in which case, immediate medical intervention is not possible so people are more likely to die or develop ongoing complications such as the medically-recognized "Long Covid".
Other arguments - such as those dying from "king's diseases" - are little more than special pleading.

Brigitte Gabriel's Epic Answer To "Most Muslims Are Peaceful..."

There are 13 countries in the world, where atheism is punishable with death. They are all muslim.
And a few short centuries ago, "Christendom" executed athiests, with the Roman catholic Church leading the slaughter.
That doesn't justify the current deplorable "policies" on killing athiests in those 13 Muslim countries - but it highlights the recency of similar responses within Christendom.

And a few short centuries ago, "Christendom" executed anyone who espoused a different god or no god. This does not "excuse" human rights atrocities in Muslim countries, but it shows that the "West's" own history stands as evidence that slaughter and blood shed are not unique to Islam.

Polls have shown over and over that the majority of Muslims are not peaceful and hold abhorrent views and would welcome death to others even though they may not personally take action - they certainly support it.
Couldn't this be said about any number of so-called Christian fundamentalists, JWs included who have strong beliefs about everyone other than their own group being destroyed at Armageddon.

the herd of elephants in today's wt study.
by waton infor friends of "truth" about the wt theme: "what do we learn from jesus' last words?
if you learned anything, even in the greatest distress you do not utter the sacred name.
the article is full of "jehovahs" but not once did jesus himself actually use the term.

Even in the so-called "Lord's prayer" (that JWs love to quote) Jesus says, "Our Father in heaven, let your name be sanctified..." - but he doesn't actually use his father's name.
