I hope it comes on again when I'm actually home and awake. I saw only some of it yesterday. I liked that they had Bill Bowen commentating.

Celebrating my birthday...
by Jankyn inhi, all.. i celebrated (yes, indeedy, right down to cake and singing) my 45th birthday on saturday, and i learned a few things in the process.. my partner, who is appalled that i never had a birthday party or presents as a child, decided to make my birthday a week-long celebration.
each day, i had another gift--little things that she knew i'd like, like a box of almond roca, a little plastic moose (i love moose-s), and a book about natural ways to get the slugs out of my garden.
and each day, she made up a little poem about how glad she was that i was born.

Before moving, we used formula 409 everywhere and it worked great.

Can You Spot A Jehovah's Witness???
by minimus inare you able to tell if someone is a jw just by looking or listening to a person?
what are the give away signs that make you just know that they're a witness?

I can spot a mormon, too. Usually because they go out in two's (only men), have on the same pants, same white shirt with a tie and no jacket, their bible...and most of all, walk through the roughest parts of newark,nj and surrounding areas that I wouldn't even walk in...and act like ain't shit ever going to happen to them!

Yes, in addition to what has previously been mentioned.
A little over a year ago, I went to a lookout I frequent here in north jersey that is now a Sept.11 memorial. You can see the nyc skyline of lower manhattan. There was a couple with their teenage daughter standing next to me. He started telling them, "Imagine what paradise will be like in the new system," and they had smiles on their faces. I immediately knew, and told my husband that they are jw's.

Aw, Brooke, I certainly do know how you feel. Talking to a therapist can definately help. Is it possible to get a sitter (or your husband) once a week for a few hours. You need your time, and not getting it can be depressing (I know).
I had both my kids by 23, 2 yrs apart. It's tough! It's gotten a wee bit *easier* now that they're almost 3 & 5, but I purposely take time away from home on saturdays, still. I hope your husband can work his schedule out so that you can do some things you enjoy as well.
BTW, go shopping! Grab the kids, browse Target and enjoy! I do it, too. Look at someone else's walls for a while.

Anyone like me where you still believe in MOST of their doctrines?
by inquirer inlike i don't like that un involvment, record keeping.
i don't know what to think about the paedophile stuff, because you could accuse the catholic church of that too.
but apart from those things i still believe that god's name is jehovah, his son is jesus, no trinity, and he died on a torture stake... i love reading the new world translation, i believe it's the best one, but i love reading other translations too!

Why continue to need or rely on beliefs in any doctrine?
Why continue to ignore the present moment vibrancy of Life, the actuality and reality of conscious awareness, and instead give value to old dead words in a book?
Why continue to reduce the Source of this wondrous universe and the silent consciousness which beholds it, to some bumbling anthropomorphic deity?
Perhaps if we emptied our minds of religious interpretations and beliefs, we could actually see what IS.I love it...these are the questions I've been asking myself and describes the path I'm on. I realize deprogramming will take some time, but it will happen.
So to answer the question, some things I do still believe but I'm realizing it's because I was told to, not that it actually made sense.
My eyes are unblinding.
