I'm going back to college next month. This is probably my 10th time "going back" to school. This time, though, I am following my heart rather than a job, and majoring in English since I love to write. I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up.
It's warm & beautiful outside (here)!!
It's administrative assistant's day...Wish someone well for their hard work.
Each day that we are spending outside of the jw's, we have the opportunity to live in the NOW that is our life. Embrace it. There is no more holding back on anything because of what we were once taught.
People love you.
LittleToe is on a kids' show called "Meteor". The animated truck just said, "Call me LT." LOL Not a celebration, but a funny (to me, at least)!

Your View On BREASTFEEDING In Public
by minimus inlast night on the news a woman was told by a store manager that she could not in public breastfeed her child.
she and her husband were quite offended and complained to the company's main offices.
they are now looking into this situation.. what's your opinion?

I'm not uncomfortable with it at all because I have done it. It is a mother's right, and hell, it is the BABY's right! It can be done so discreetly that you'd think a woman was simply holding the child. There are shirts and bras made just for the occasion. Add a blanket, and there you go!
Uptight American prudes need to get over their desire to limit what is obviously a perfectly natural right, and focus on crime and inequity, imo.
Oh, yes.
Most places have a public restroom, and there's usually not a problem with going into the restroom to change the child, so why would it be any different having to go into the restroom to feed it too?
No way. Yuck. It is different because there is not a mother's room in any public ladies rooms 99.9% of the time. No seats, no nothing.

What Double Standards Exist With Jehovah's Witnesses?
by minimus into be a "good jehovah's witness" you must be able to live by double standards.
you have to know how to play both sides to the middle.
you have to speak and act one way with certain persons and another way with the others.. one example of how witnesses live by double standards:you cannot join the ymca because jws can't involve themselves with religious matters or else be shunned.

I believe JWs easily can and do lie because they are taught that if someone asks a question without entitlement, they may be lied to. Taking that philosophy, it make JWs a very dishonest group because they can easily switch their views by wanting to believe a person has no real right to know something so they simply lie to whomever they want to......not good for a group that professes to be the most honest people on earth.
Excellent point! That alone gets and keeps people in.

Well, a few days later, when the daughter's boyfriend was here for an overnight visit - (before which he had been offered a ride home) - daughter asks if they can have my bed (because it's bigger).
Wow, that's (inappropriate) nerve!
My friends used to always do it in their parents' bed when they weren't home.

(watchtower july 1, 2002, p.13, paragraph 17-19).
but ... when the numbers are down they claim it's because "the greater number has cooled off".
