My granddaughter 5 mos old passed away today...

I love Vegas!! I'll be going back there in February or early March '08 for a girls weekend. I've only been there once and had a great time walking around the different hotels and driving to north vegas. Yeah, I know...total tourist! I drank a lot! I went there for two days then New Orleans for two. Talk about a drunk skunk. Madame Toussaid's was museum, $5 slots, fake Venice, and the House of Blues...good time.
Seeing the land was a gorgeous site-I find a western sunset to be a very beautiful thing. -

I cried! The part that made me shed a tear was when Barb's mom said she was responsible for her eternal life, or something to that effect. I loved the look Barb had on her face as her mother walked away, when the family prepared to leave the reception. Great directing on this one.

I have never been so angry. Well, that is until my mother sent witnesses to the door. My daughter has lived here for a while, and has never had ONE witness stop by. All of sudden, the bell rings, and my daughter answered. I knew I should have. When I walked into the living room, she was crying. Holding something in her hand. I asked her who it was, and she said it was two Jehovah's Witnesses. I ran to the window, and they got into a car and drove off. So, I know they were not in service. They didn't go to the next house, or across the street. Only my daughters.
Why was my daughter crying???? Because they gave her the Awake magazine for Aug. On the cover is a picture of a family. A mother and father holding a baby, and it reads.."Seven Steps to Better Parenting." I was so angry, I tore the magazine in half and threw it in the trash.
OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Your daughter did not need to be torn apart anymore than she already is. I feel so very sad for her (all of you), my gosh. After what I went through with my daughter and their guilt trips, I literally would have pounced on those uncompassionate a$$holes.

i say mine is english with an admixture of german (before the nazis ever existed, no need to go on about that) northern french and italian from venice.
i look northern european and feel close to that part of the world with family tradition being roman catholic.

What does your city/town smell like??
by horrible life inwhile on vacation, we drove through amarillo.
the smell of cattle was everywhere.
for the citizens of amarillo, texas, that is the smell of money.. in my town, we have the nearby paper mill, weyerhaeuser.

It doesn't have a smell, generally. There is a strong aroma of barbeque every weekend in the summer.
Contrary to what one might think, NJ doesn't stink (once you're away from certain northern turnpike exits)!!

For those of us who converted, I think it is a bit more humiliating when you finally figure it out. Being raised in it really is an "excuse", cause you didn't have a choice. We did. And we chose it.
Oh gosh, the humiliation!!!!!! That had been a necessary emotional rebound in of itself! Having to tell people how I felt who, all along, had been warning me over and over again.
Egad! I need to go think about something else. Could somebody roll a joint?

Would You Like To Know What Goes On At Elder's Meetings?

after a prayer, the presiding overseer will state what the purpose of the meeting is.
if it's a quarterly meeting, the elders will discuss the spirituality of the congregation, its spirit and any dangerous trends that may be observed.
