  My JW neighbor's birthday

  as i was headed home the other day, it occurred to me that it was my jw neighbor's birthday.

  i remembered this as i realized that she would be at my home in about 20 minutes so that i could help her with something.

  so, i quickly stopped at a store and got her a gift, and had it gift-wrapped.

  She missed her meeting, and celebrated her birthday.

  Good for her! It's nice that you helped her realize it is a special day, and that it's ok to enjoy it.

  Maybe she knew it all along but didn't have anyone around who felt the same way.

  It always made me feel like I had one-up on somebody "worldly" or "apostate". Definately made me think I was this shit for being one of "jehovah's peoples". How sick.

  Things are more serious for Ozzie..................

  .....................i received an sms from mrs ozzie last night informing me that ozzie is having an extremely risky operation on wednesday morning, 8am australian time.

  i can't give more details at this stage as to the procedure due to confidentiality but i can assure you it is going to be dangerous!

  mrs ozzie said that it had to be done despite the risk.. so if all of us here could take a moment tomorrow and send positive thoughts.

  when i was about 16 i had a terrible crush on an older lady (she might have been 30) who was the lovliest person ever.

  she had poise, confidence, intelligence, wit, appreciation and culture.

  i was just a skinny, shy, geeky kid that she took under her wing.

  My stepmom telling me that I'm a good mother. I have my days when I don't feel that way. She's such a great mom, so it means a lot.

  One day, I was having an "I feel ugly day". My boss was talking to me, and before leaving my desk said, "well, you look good today." Totally wasn't expecting it, but it felt good.

  Friends telling me that I'm funny. It's nice to put a smile on someone's face, and watch them laughing their azz off on the floor!

  KM article -tip minimum 15%

  we got a command at the service meeting tonight - the km article on the summer district conventions said if we are dining out we really should tip 15-20% minmum -this was repeated twice = good to know the witnesses are getting less tight

  She keeps making eyes at me but I'm not interested. :S

  at work there is this girl there who keeps making eyes at me, but i'm not interested.

  on top of that, she keeps trying to strike up conversations and she goes on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on... its amazing!

  never a pause between sentences and barely a any space between words... just a very very long series of words coming out of her mouth non-stop.

  Is there any way to avoid her at lunch?

  I'm thinking, how can she not get a clue that you're not interested? She seems stubborn. Would you confront her aboout it by asking her why she's always sitting with you? Maybe her being put on the spot might make her realize how foolish she is making herself appear.
