Talking about big ass problems though, changing the subject only slightly. I have five kids and don't put weight on right, I celebrate Christmas for the first time in my life and put ten pounds on.....all on my bum. Is this punishment from Jehovah.

my parents have noticed my negative and sad attidude lately, whenever were going to the meetings or studying and so on.
but they just think that i am negative and sad in general.
i dont think they think that its spesifically because im being dragged to the meetings.. so lately we have had a lot of "serious" talks, because theyre worried for me.

well yesterday i saw the surgeon, with regards to my left hip and because it is so advanced with osteoarthritis and is crumbling the doctor says my surgical date is march the 3rd.
he said also he may have a cancellation for feburary and i may be able to have that day.

I also know several people who have had this op with great success including and 89 year old woman.
Relax, try not to worry more than is normal, and looking forward to hearing how it all went.

By the sounds of it your parents are probably a step ahead of you. Be honest. They'll get over it even after a small difficult patch and I don't believe, if you treat them well, that they will ask you to leave at 18. They're worried about you. Maybe they'll surprise you.

i remember the jws used to criticize the "eat, drink, and be merry" philosophy "for tomorrow we might die" and i used to think that it was a good thing that i was doing something worthwhile with my life instead of being distracted with the material things, or fleshly things of the world.
that the philosophy was so fatalistic, that tomorrow we might all be dead and anyone believing in the "eat, drink, and be merry" philosophy were all so hedonistic.
today, i hear that and have different feelings towards the saying and philosophy.
