  No one's home?

  i was just remembering back to when i was around 13 years old or so.

  my friend, who was 15, and i were both pretty sick and tired of field service.

  we tried to work together as much as possible and one summer we worked almost exclusively alone as door-to-door partners.

  there was always the talk of the new order, or new system.. but did you ever take the time to wonder what it would really be like?.

  would it look like it big park?

  would it be country like, with acres of land per home?

  Otherwise, lots of grass, trees, friendly animals and funnily enough no people.

  did you , when you were a 'proper' jw, or even a jw of any description, believe that after armageddon you wouldn't have to go to the meetings and out on field service anymore?

  surely, after armageddon the control and work from jehovah would get even greater and the nightmare of being a jw would truly never end.. do you get my drift or have i had too much merlot?.

  i ask this because my father told me that 'they' needed all these new khs for when the dead are resurrected and they have to look after them and study with them.

  Awake article about true friends

  could anybody scan the above series of articles from the december 2004 awake.. i have decided to write to our previous best friends using this article as its basis.

  unfortunately i cannot find my copy as i still get the magazines from time to time from my father.. yesterday our best friend shunned my wife in the street and ran awy when she swa her.

  we were friends for 30 years and until we left two years ago we used to go no holiday with them.. they never asked usked us why we dont go, and as we have not be disfellowshipped or disaccoiated ourselves i think their action is pathetic.

  Hi littlemike! Sorry to hear what happened to your wife. Makes you realise they weren't really your friends after all, doesn't it.

  Our friends also disappeared, within weeks of our not attending any more. Hurtful at first but then you realise they're not worth the bother.

  Soemtimes you just have to move on. Your friendship was based on your survivabity rating. Welcome to the 'walking dead meat' class!

  i personally feel they will have to "adjust" the fds doctrine.

  the tricky thing is that the fds (whoever they are) won't approve this change while they're still alive.

  they don't care, they subconsciously feel it's their end anyway and they won't undermine their doctrinal position having lost all corporate power.. so who will send this beam of new light?

  Buy all the old literature that comes up for sale on ebay and burn it at Brooklyn!

  I"ve often wondered who's bidding on the old books on ebay and come to the conclusion that the people who need the books most are the ones with the most to lose if all that information becomes available to the rank and file.
