  my parents went to the assembly this weekend.

  they were telling me about disciplining children... the speaker was saying how all babies are born selfish and demanding for their own needs and not anyone elses.

  the jist of the talk being about discipline, and training children ...ie taking them out for a good beating.. well, i don't know if any of you have ever 'just seen red!

  Sorry about that Black Sheep! It seems to be a shared memory amongst a lot of us. However, it seems worse to have to watch that happening to someone elses child and be totally powerless, or at least feel that you are totally powerless to stop it. You look back and think ' could I have done something?' And probably the answer was Yes! Shame on me. I'm so cross that I believed they were right. The bunch of crap dealing shit heads. It's not like the children were being evil and bad, just making noise and wriggling in a damned KH.

  I remember the possibility of smacking being banned in the UK being discussed at our old KH and the brother giving the talk say that 'we would abide by Jehovah's laws for disciplining children and not the state's.'

  Hi Big Dog!

  I remember some very little children getting beaten so badly in the mother's room that they were rigid with shock. Their little faces a seared in my memory with the pain and fear! Their mothers were red faced and angry. Why didin't I report them to the NSPCC! Because I was a brainwashed fool. I'm angry with myself, them, my parents and that the WTBTS is still spouting this crap!!!!

  The actual turning point -- where you regain your own power

  i have done a lot of thinking about what it's like to actually believe the wts has "the truth" and what it felt like to be immersed in the religion and i finally figured out the exact turning point a person has to get to, that allows a person to let go of it all.. it doesn't matter what scandals you read about, what sort of a victim you were to the society, it doesn't even matter if you quit attending meetings years ago.

  there comes a day when you finally realize inside your heart and throughout your mind that it's just a religion.

  not "the truth," not "inspired by jehovah god," but in fact just a religion.. i started thinking about it in terms of a profession.

  I wish I could let go of the really bad anger problem I have with the JW cult at the moment though. I just think of them and want to ......scream!

  Well, I don't know if any of you have ever 'Just Seen RED!' but I did!

  I let rip on mind control cults, abusing children by forcing them to sit listening to boring rubbish and be dragged round streets selling shit magazines. The smacking room.!!!!!!!!

  They shut up and said nothing, but I know I was on a roll I was so ANGRY!!!!!

  I was still fuming mad when I got home. I don't think I've ever cycled so fast...I may have broken some Olympic speed times!

  BadBoy, TheEdge, I wish I had it in me to do it, but both hubby and myself are worried about the consequences for her and the father in law. We don't exactly feel sorry for them but would feel guilty if they ended up in prison, even though they do deserve punishment.

  They have actually stolen from us about a year ago a cheque we were given by a relative and we were unwilling to take action on that also. Before digital phone lines came in we didn't know who it was who was making 'funny' phone calls to us, silences, funny tapping sounds, breathing...etc. Then the 1471 system came in. We discovered it was them. Hubby told them about the new system and that we could tell who was making the calls and lo and behold the calls stopped!

  We're great believers in what goes around comes around and are quietly watching and waiting. We've seen it happen too many times not to believe in natural justice!

  As I'd personally like to get her into deep shit I know that my motive's probably wrong and I'm not feeling overly concerned about the benefits system. Also, the less we think about them, and have to do with those crazy dubs, the better!

  Hi Voyager!

  This reminds me of my JW mother in law. She has claimed Benefits for years and yet has been working for cash in hand payments for years also usually three to five days a week. Now she's a pensioner she still works for cash in hand three days a week and claims Council TaX Benefits also.

  Normally I wouldn't give two hoots BUT this was the woman who would not let us take my husbands elderly grandfather in and put him in a home instead because we were 'not spiritual enough' and no longer attend meetings! We would set a bad spiritual example for him!!!!!

  What a week.......AGAIN!

  so anyway, those of you who remember the last time the ft regular pioneer came to visit my son and ended up in bed with him, with the elder window cleaner rushing up the ladder.... anyone remember that.

  well she was back making a rv on him today!.

  i found her in bed with him when i came home from the shops..
