By the way, the drug is called Trazadone. I cannot believe that I used to take 100 mgs on nights I couldn't sleep. Now if I have difficulty (which is rare); I take a quarter of a 50 mlg pill, and it puts me out like a light.

So sorry! Not sleeping is horrible! I had postpartum depression with my second child--and ended up with a very bad case of insomnia. That exacerbated everything. One of my doctors prescribed a potent anti-depressant which had the effect of a major sleep inducer. It worked like a charm--although I felt hungover in the mornings. At least I was sleeping.
I'd go back to the doc and see if you can get something stronger just to help you out for the short term. Not sleeping creates all sorts of other ills...

Why I think Bush is scary
by Simon inhttp://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/4767542/ in woodward's portrait, president bush is single-minded, and possibly simple-minded, in his resolve.
he seems to have relied more on divine guidance than the considered opinions of his top advisers.
bush told woodward that as he approached the final decision to go to war, "i was praying for strength to do the lord's will ... i'm surely not going to justify war based on god.

Good points, Ritchy.
One of the slimiest things IMO that Kerry is doing is to try to make himself out as a Vietnam war hero. His latest lame effort is to try to silence those who question his patriotism by calling upon them to explain why THEY DIDN'T SERVE in Vietnam (oh, as someone tried to do to me, above). Then, the kicker is that he now acknowledges he committed all sorts of war crimes/atrocities during his service, and THAT'S why he ended up fighting against the war.
What a schzopphenic hypocrite!! Frankly, only an idiot could NOT see that this man is a two-faced, lying windbag with NO leadership ability.

what is of relevance is however that humans like animals cannot escape their behavior. as i pointed out in the discussion with AlanF is that we have no way of escaping our destiny so to speak. our path cannot be predicted or changed.
Oh, so that "destiny" includes mass genocide of certain racial/ethnic/religious groups? I see.

Many German Jews and French Jews praised their nation and government whilst knowing what was happening in Eastern Europe! They protested their treatment claiming honor to the Fatherland!
I'm not sure what you are trying to suggest, but if you can say with a straight face that there was Jewish support for what Hitler was doing, then you should definately provide some sources here. Otherwise, you're just babbling.
And to both you and Unreal...since you fancy yourselves such the expert on this topic...why don't you go Prague. Why not take a whirl around the Jewish Museum. There you can see lovely drawings of Jewish children who were internned in ghettos. At the bottom of the picture is the date they died...
I am utterly flaberghasted by your attempts to rewrite history. But again, I'll give you the beneift of the doubt and assume you have solid sources to support your claims.

Why Hasnt America Been Attacked Again??
by ApagaLaLuz inwhat is your opinion of this?
the us recently released a report stating that airport screeners are not doing their jobs correctly, and outlined which airports were the weakest.. .
do think the reason we have not had any new terrorist attacks since 2001 is because the government has beefed up homeland security?
-

With regard to security--all I can say is my 3.5 year old son had to be frisked at the airport because he kept setting off the security alarm! That would not have happened a few years ago. I've traveled nationally and internationally both before and after 9/11. There's a big difference.

or Switzerland where things are more nuetral and nobody cares about all this nonsense
You know why people leave the Swiss alone? Because they have some of the greatest military ability in the world. Why do you think the Swiss Guard protects the pope?
That's a fact all these anti-war/military people need to face.

George Bush is being criticized for doing all the wrong things. By throwing out the phrase "do something", you set up a false dilema, as if the only alternative to the actions taken by GW Bush and co. is to do nothing
Possibly that's because I hear NOTHING constructive about how to fight terrorism. All I hear, and all Kerry bases his campaign on is "get Bush out." They, however, have NOTHING concrete to offer as to how they would make things so much better.

Let's bring these enemies of freedom and human decency down to their knees!
by Jonty Parkin inpreviously, i was content to go my own way and allow my erstwhile brothers and sisters go theirs.
after all, if i am honest, i am equally delighted to be able to ignore/shun those myopic, sanctimonious little turds, as they are to ignore/shun me!.
however, having read many of your posts, i'm downright bloody livid, not neccessarily with the aforementioned "myopic, sanctimonious little turds", but those grumpy, stubborn, conniving deceitful old gits in brooklyn who have created this society of "myopic, sanctimonious little turds"!.

Jonty,
I've been "out" nearly 20 years now. It sounds like you've been "out" only a few years. Like any greving process, you go through certain phases. Sounds like you are (rightfully so!) in an anger phase.
Bottom line, these evil people have existed for about 125 years, and they will continue to exist as long as they are able to dupe other people. They think they alone have the "truth." They think they alone are right.
The best thing you can do is to not give this wacko group the time of day. I, unfortunately, still have family who are JW's, so they continue, indirectly, to be a part of my life. If you are lucky enough NOT to have any direct family members who are JWs, the best advice I can give is to just FORGET these people. Do not waste any more energy on them. You've already given them to much. Fortuantely, you've broken free. That's payment enough.

So blacksheep why aren't you over there fighting for your cause?
Hmmm. very desperate...Actually, I'm the mom of 2 children under 3 years of age, but still have considered enlisting. What about you??? You just don't believe in fighting for you country?
I think you forget tho that these nations dependent on the US are also getting WOMD much like Iraq did . I mean jeeze it was alright back in the 80's whenever they were using them on Iran it didn't become an issue until sadaam went after kuwait but even then he didn't use WOMD. The US has such an idiotic foreign policy as it is , so what's wrong with sitting back and making these other nations come crawling on their knees
They are. Libya has voluntarily disbanded their nuclear program. Because of the tough stand we've taken on Saddam. We have shown we will not tolerate such regimes and weapon accumulations.
