Just moved to a new State, made the mistake of talking to them once in the front yard. They stop at the house now and again but we all play the "nobodys home" card by being quiet. Not sure what to say to them now that I found this forum.

DID OUR PARENTS REPLACE BIRTHDAY OR CHRISTMAS GIFTS WITH ANYTHING ELSE?

what about it...i know for me i got gifts throughout the year but i didnt get as many as my friends did on their birthdays etc....what about you...do you or did you replace b/days and christmas gifts or celebrations with anything else whilst being a jw and in particular anything as personal....

In our family only wedding anniversaries were celebrated and the children of the couple celebrating were given gifts so they wouldn't feel "left out".

by JH infor many, religion is the root of terrorism and war.
since the beggining of creation or evolution, mankind is at war not only for religious reasons, but economical ones too.

Never dated a JW girl. All the single ones in my area congregations were either al too young or too old for my tastes. So I found one from the "outside". Thank god for that!

Do you know of any "baptized" JW's that committed suicide or attempted?
by booker-t ini remember one of my childhood friends was found dead and the police said he committed suicide.
i just could not believe it because my friend was a "devout" jw almost franatical about it.
now years later since i have seen both sides of the coin i am beginning to wonder if my friend did indeed kill himself.
