The GB of the WTS is no longer involved in the business end of the WTS. They have handed that over to non-anointed jw men at Bethel. Even the WTS realized that letting the GB handle business was not a good business model (and for certain legal sidesteps).

if a brother is so extremely overweight that others would be distracted if he had a part on the program, good judgment would need to be used in deciding whether to give him an assignment.

Well, now we see behind the curtain...though many of us have seen. I knew a brother who had the weight thing applied to him and the BOE slowly removed everything, making him just a figurehead or a cypher. Then he started losing weight and everyone was happy for him, he had cancer and would die 4 months later. Better dead than fat.
At the same time, Brother KissHisRing was heavier than this brother and nothing done to him.

for example, when puerto rico was devastated by a hurricane, wtc directed a large number of congregations to donate $1500 each in supplies that would be used for relief purposes.
it is not known how many congregations took part in this effort but the feedback suggests it was in the hundreds.

zeb, thanks for sharing that. I love watching certain ones. A few of my associates and I would practice broadway musical songs and then go out in a park and sing. Not online. We were pretty good and drew quite a big audience at times. We practiced this song too and performed.

Can you imagine having to tell the overrighteous brothers in charge not to ask the questions and say a prayer. I think they mean the after the baptism talk, since no prayer is offered after the morning session anyway.
Usually, in the last circuit I was in, they scarfed up a baptismal candidate from the other nearby circuit to get baptized at the other to prevent a public embarrassment.

looking back on this, it's like those devil possession scenes in films when the beast makes itself known.except - i remind you - it was the real me.i'll give you a few seconds to catch up to what i'm reporting to you.. (pause)okay then.... my interviewer registered awareness of this transformation.the sleepwalking terry vanished.seated in the same chair, the refurbished "me" crackled with personality.. my interior was scrambling; playing catch up.

Several times trained practitioners have tried and failed. I guess I am not very suggestible. I also can manipulate lie detectors having had the FBI perform it several times for grins (I worked in conjunction with the local FBI).

Even if jw congregations did send the money, the WTS can funnel that money into anything they feel has a priority, not necessarily to Puerto Rico jws.
The same is true of any donations to the Worldwide Work of the WTS.

i was watching an english mystery show from a while back and the main character hetty, was giving a list of religions that could have drawn off a young girl.
