How many jws or ex-jws think that the phrase "governing body" is said in Acts 15:2? Check again. The WTS will cite (not quote) a scripture in Acts 15:2 and say governing body in the paragraph but not put quote marks around it to indicate it is not a quote from the scripture. How many people realize that?

there are exceptions in grammatical patterns, such as john exclusively using archon for ruler in his writings - which make the term self evident.sin - is defined"one" (unity) - is somewhat defined and also self evident from the context (no exceptions, every person part of that unity is listed in the context)an interesting thing to see would be how many terms are actually used and explained.
*the omission from speech or writing of a word or words that are superfluous or able to be understood from contextual clues..

New blood card system in March

the congregation won’t hold any information as they did before from march it will be all put on the pub.
i think it’s to do with vaccines and they are worried now they got everyone vaxed and they want to distance themselves from medical responsibilities and say own personal decisions.

I was wondering how the WTS was going to know who had officially received the COVID-19 vaccinations. Elders are required to be to attend the Elders School. By self-identification, but the elders would never lie to the WTS, yes? I wonder if they are incorporating self-identification in written form on the card?

I used to notice that when I commented on the weekly WT Study, how little Jesus was mentioned in the publications, even their songbook. Jesus is being written out of the narrative.

Elders are no longer teachers
by eyeslice inback in the day when i was a young witness lad, you very much got the impression that at least the training as theocratic teachers was good.. even the bible reading back then had a short introduction and conclusion.
you had to research and prepare your own ministry school talks and then perhaps you would graduate to a half of a 55 minute public talk.
then later if you were a book study conductor, you got to decide which scriptures to read and highlight.

Elders don't teach, they just regurgitate what the WTS tells them. I remember talking to 2 elders and convinced them that what they were saying did not jive with what their bible says, and they agreed, but they had to following the GB. Wow!

How Will They End 1914 Teaching?

instead of, the overlapping generation teaching, they should have just ditched 1914. .
they should have done that a long time ago with 1975. it's the last of the teachings in the charles taze russell era.. i'm thinking they just will stop talking about it, and it will be out of the mind of the rank and file loyal witnesses .

It probably has already been said that the "overlapping" generation addressed the fact that the members of the GB were getting older and older, and the WTS had to explain why younger and younger men were being appointed, most who claimed to be anointed long after 1935 when the WTS taught that the calling of the ended had ended. The WTS had to adjust that date of 1935 because so many more jws started self-identifying as "anointed" and the # was going up not decreasing as the WTS previously said would happen. Of course, the WTS suggested that many of these people were "confused" and were not real or genuine anointed. "

Is there a Board of Directors any more? I know the WTS moved the GB over into non-financial things and put non-anointed mostly in charge of the other departments that run the financial end of it. I do know that the WTS has allowed hemoglobin-based products but published this in 2006 and danced around whether using these products (that are manufactured from human and bovine blood) are allowed. (August 2006 Awake pp. 10-12) "Some manufacturers now process hemoglobin, releasing it from human or bovine red blood cells. Rattigan, yes keeping expenses low, using properties they already own, then charging their members for the rental. They have been doing that for some time in some limited way. The WTS is trying to "save" money and pass it on to their members. I wonder how long before the WTS assesses individual required donations (euphemism for tithing) for jws, not a congregational one. Of course, just a "suggestion," but if I understand correctly, the WTS now has access to congregation banking accounts.

1000 people interviewed? Many of those religions are totally unknown as to their beliefs. People are so ignorant which is why the abuse in the WTS needs the news coverage it is now getting. Did they ask why they felt that why specifically about those religions.

i overheard my wife listening to some update broadcast this morning and immediately thought would a true humanitarian such as jesus, mahatma gandhi or albert schweitzer be at all interested in such things?
these were 'people' persons not interesting in the stupid trappings of life.. if the gb were to sanction the building of hospitals, orphanages, refugee centers and the like, maybe we would have a little more respect for them but this ramapo project seems like a sense waste of time, energy and money.
