The WTS is still fighting in court regarding not reporting sexual abuse cases in their organization. The WTS says they fall under the "statutory clergy-penitent" even though the WTS avows they have no clergy class. That has not been settled legally yet that I know of.

"Each one must choose. You see, new scrolls will be opened during that time. So the refreshing waters from Jehovah will include newly revealed truths, new spiritual instructions. Is it not thrilling to think of that prospect? Nonetheless, some will refuse that blessing, choosing instead to disobey Jehovah. Some individuals may rebel during the Millennium, but they will not be allowed to disrupt Paradise. (Isa. 65:20) We may be reminded of Ezekiel’s vision and think of those marshy places that remained barren, “abandoned to salt.” How foolish are those who stubbornly refuse to drink from the precious water of life! After the Millennium, a group of rebels will side with Satan. All who reject Jehovah’s righteous rule will face the same end: eternal death.—Rev. 20:7-12." Pure Worship book chap 19 paragraph 19 pp 209-210.

In talking about Acts 24:15, the WTS says this: "The resurrection of the dead to an opportunity of perfect life on earth will be a supreme act of mercy. Then each one will be able to show appreciation for the gift of true life." Thus when people are resurrected to life on earth, they are only given "an opportunity of perfect life on earth"...be able to show appreciation for the gift of true life." That is those resurrected will not yet be "perfect" but will still have to prove to the WTS god that they are worthy of that god making their life permanent, having their name written in ink, as they are only penciled in so far. The WTS used to use Isaiah 65:20 to back this up saying that someone could still die even at 100 years old. But I cannot even find Isaiah 65:20 discussed in the Watchtower Online. (Not even mentioned in the indexes or in an article, it starts with verse 21. If you can find it let me know. But here is another direction the WTS takes. "In view of that, the “righteous” ones just as well as the “unrighteous” will need more than just liberation from the memorial tombs by resurrection from the dead. The “righteous” will also need liberation from sinfulness and human imperfection. Consequently, the heavenly Judge Jesus Christ cannot pronounce them at once actually innocent, perfect, free from condemnable sinfulness and on their very day of resurrection hand down the decision that they are fit for eternal life on earth. They will mercifully be given the benefits of Christ’s atonement sacrifice so that they can come to human perfection, spiritually and physically. If they are obedient they will not die again. That is why the resurrection of the Judgment Day is called “a better resurrection” than that experienced by those resurrected in Bible days.—Heb. 11:35."
So this is how the WTS puts it. They teach that even some who reach the end of the 1,000 year reign could be executed and go to eternal death. That will be another post.

1975 on the back burner
by Fisherman in“1975” still marks 6000 years from the creation of adam in wt calendar.
according to “all scriptures inspired” book, there is a gap between the creation of adam and the creation of eve and her marriage to adam.
it was at that point in time when eve was created that marked the end of the 6th creative day and the beginning of god’s rest, the 7th day as recorded in genesis.

I have mentioned this several times on JWN, the WTS stopped mention 6,000 year creative days in 1987. This a technique the WTS has used regarding some base "teachings" in the past rather than bringing attention to the change. This was the technique the WTS used regarding having or not having vaccinations. In 1953, a confused jw wrote into the WTS, which was printed in the Questions from Readers section in the WT, in the back of the article, figuring many if not most jws were lucky if they read the study articles. "Second, a study of the fulfillment of Bible prophecy and of our location in the stream of time strongly indicate that each of the creative days (Genesis, chapter 1) is 7,000 years long. It is understood that Christ’s reign of a thousand years will bring to a close God’s 7,000-year ‘rest day,’ the last ‘day’ of the creative week. (Revelation 20:6; Genesis 2:2, 3) Based on this reasoning, the entire creative week would be 49,000 years long." January 1, 1987 Questions from Readers, p.30 (Nada after than, except a quote from a publication pre-1987). I remember being a Tuesday night book study, re-studying a publication that was originally printed pre-1987 using the 6,000 year creative statement. The conductor had become a jw long after 1987 and had no idea about the original teaching. A jw when answering the question didn't even notice that the WTS had re-printed to book, changing that teaching to "thousands and thousands of years." The conductor corrected him because the conductor had the re-printed version. The original jw was confused. Prior to studying the book at the Tuesday study, the WTS had encouraged older jws to get the newer version to use because the old one would be underlined, messy, and those jws would just rely on the old underlining. Well, the original jw was poor and could not afford a new book, having to buy food with it.) So most jws today have never heard the phrase of a 7,000 year creative day. And unless the read old publications (but barely taking time to read the new ones), they would have to be a jw like I was and loved reading old publications and I started seeing the "updates" that disappeared by the wayside.

Physically in mentally agnostic ie sitting on the fence
by ExBethelitenowPIMA inhi everyone i’m not pimi or pimo i’m pima.. i don’t think the gb have everything right but i’m sitting on the fence that maybe they do some things.. if the great trib starts i will jump that side of the fence.. this is a definite little sneaky advantage dodging but even by their own doctrine last min some could come in.. i suspect many are like me.. i spent years in bethel and am very disappointed and disillusioned by it all.. but at the end of the day i love the bible and think it is the word of god and i don’t see any other religion that comes as close to what jesus describes his true followers or who are fulfilling mat 24:14..

I was reading about PIMI, PIMO, POMO, PIMA, I figure PIMA is really OM, out mentally if they acknowledge to themselves they are agnostic. Then when the picket fence gets so high, then they have to re-evaluate their "stance" on being agnostic, can they stay or is it time to leave physically. That is pick one side of the fence or the other, as the picket reaches their crotch. I was on 2 sides regarding being agnostic/atheistic before I realized that my belief in the WT god was gone and then as well as any god. So I left physically, mentally out so to speak. But after about 2 years quibbling about my non-belief in god, I finally admitted, that the god of any religion if existing was not something I wanted to identify with. I could not believe that that god would let people suffer through no action of their own so horribly. I could not believe that god lets little children be sexually injured/attacked by adults and then tell self-identified Christians or jws in charge say these little children must continue to suffer, or be blown apart during human wars, etc. I could not believe that little children with both parents non-jws, would die eternally at the WT teaching of Armageddon. So, I recognize that really means I am an atheist. I am not sitting in judgment on those who continue to have faith. But for me, I cannot do it. So whatever others label us or definitions of atheist/agnostic they use, it is our own careful examination of what we think and do in that area. There is no group of atheists, agnostics or similar that have the same ideas about which category they themselves feel they are in. Self-examination is the only we can know ourselves. Well, sorry for the speech, but these ideas have been occurring to me. Blondie, thanks if you read this. My beliefs, but don't have to be yours per me.

why are we interested in what is going on in the JW
by enoughisenough infor the most of us, we have left the jws...and even though we are no longer jw, many of us are still interested in their beliefs, doctrines and practices as currently practiced.
i was trying to sort out in my mind why i still care about what they are doing.
i think the answer to that is a hope that something will develop in the jws that will wake up a lot of others, and selfishly, a lot of my friends.

I would think some ex-jws or faders are still interested because they have family still in the WTS and perhaps friends. Some of these people may try to share the new good news with them. This way ex-jws/faders will know what they might use and be prepared to present other new info or reason with them kindly with thought-provoking questions.
