Scriptures That Don’t Fit WT Theology
by Sea Breeze inhere’s a couple good ones: a. jesus said, “come to me and i will give you rest”.. why did jesus command us to go to him and not jehovah?.
why does the bible say that the name of jesus is above every name?

GB voice of Jesus....
by enoughisenough ina short sweet video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ekihoczyfg she put a link to the whole video if you care to watch.
here is the thing that came to my mind: by isolating just that part, the part sounds rather hubris, shocking, audacious.
when the jw hear it couched in a talk and woven in with scriptures, they will take it in without giving a real thought as to what is really being said..

I found this in the 2022 WT February Study article:
So when a person agrees to study the Bible with us, we face the challenge of helping him to build trust in Jehovah and trust in His earthly representatives.
...The plain truth is that we cannot say that we trust in Jehovah if we do not trust in his earthly representatives—those whom Jehovah trusts." Thus it seems that the WTS (Jehovah's earthly representatives per the WTS) are the ones that people have to go through, that the WTS/GB is the authority. Where is Jesus in this quote? The WTS puts Jesus in a secondary place to the GB then. I have done a search to see how often "Jesus" alone is referred to. More often it is "Jehovah and Jesus" or similar. I checked how many WT songs highlighted Jesus rather than Jehovah. It was amazing to me how even in their songs, Jesus has disappeared. And I checked the New Testament in the RNWT and never are Jesus' followers referred to as "Jehovah's witnesses) only "witnesses of Jesus." The WTS uses this deception to write Jesus out of their theology.

Matthew 11:28,29 The WTS publications carefully avoid commenting on coming to Jesus not Jehovah. This is probably why. The WTS uses this segue as illustrated in the September 2019 July study article. By saying Jesus first and then saying Jehovah and Christ. "The load that Jesus asks us to carry is different from other loads that we must bear. For example, at the end of a day of secular work, many feel not only exhausted but also unfulfilled. By contrast, after spending time serving Jehovah and Christ, we feel a deep sense of satisfaction. Basically a WTS tactic to connect survival of the GT with attending meetings.
2014 WT At that crucial time, Jehovah will give us lifesaving instructions, and the “inner rooms” might well be connected with our local congregations.
2016 WT These “inner rooms” may refer to our congregations. That is where we come together as brothers and sisters to worship Jehovah.
God Kingdom Rules book Note the verbs in this verse: “go,” “enter,” “shut,” “hide”—all are in the imperative mood; they are commands. The Jews who heeded those commands would have stayed in their houses, away from the conquering soldiers out in the streets. Hence, their survival depended on obeying Jehovah’s instructions.b
Isaiah Prophecy book #2
Note the verbs in this verse: “go,” “enter,” “shut,” “hide”—all are in the imperative mood; they are commands. The Jews who heeded those commands would have stayed in their houses, away from the conquering soldiers out in the streets. Hence, their survival depended on obeying Jehovah’s instructions.
WT 2009 In our day, the “interior rooms” of this prophecy could be closely associated with the more than 100,000 congregations of Jehovah’s Witnesses around the world. Such congregations play an important role in our lives. They will continue to do so through “the great tribulation.” (Rev. 7:14) God’s people are commanded to go into their “interior rooms” and hide themselves “until the denunciation passes over.” It is vital that we develop and maintain a wholesome attitude toward the congregation and be firmly resolved to stay in close association with it.

1975 on the back burner
by Fisherman in“1975” still marks 6000 years from the creation of adam in wt calendar.
according to “all scriptures inspired” book, there is a gap between the creation of adam and the creation of eve and her marriage to adam.
it was at that point in time when eve was created that marked the end of the 6th creative day and the beginning of god’s rest, the 7th day as recorded in genesis.

The last time the 7,000 creative day was mentioned in WTS publications was 1987. 36 years ago...I realized then that the underpinning of the 1975 date was gone, the foundation was gone. But few jws then noticed. Some even missed the fact that the WTS had substituted "thousands and thousands of years" instead. jws that came in after that knew little or nothing about that explanation. Insight book current says "Ascribing not just 24 hours but a longer period of time, thousands of years, to each of the creative days better harmonizes with the evidence found in the earth itself." or 2014 Evidently, these “days” of creation lasted many thousands of years.—Psalm 90:4. or 2021 So each of the six creative “days” during which God prepared the earth for life and created life on it could represent extremely long periods of time. (This blows out the teaching of 1975 based on the teaching of 7,000 year creative days)

Predict JW life in future
by ExBethelitenowPIMA ina sister said the other day at the ministry group “”what is all this talk that the end is still some way off” she said she has been waiting for decades and she was told there is no way it would take this long.
some others said in an annoyed kind of way yes they would have made different decisions decades ago if they knew the end still would not have come by 2023.. how will the majority react in a few more decades time when the end still hasn’t come?.
why all that talk of sense of urgency decades ago?.

Diogenesister, "Don't speak too soon Blondie's husband!! I've noticed the Borg get a lot of their "culture" from exjws. Even down to the Governing Boobies using OUR term "the Bunker videos!"
Give it a year or two and they'll be saying "No more in 34!!"" I am seeing that my jest (not prophecy) may be taking on a life of its own. When I first made this "jest" some ex-jws took it up literally. Am I surprised that the WTS might, no. Only 11 years from now and I should be still alive to see if my "prediction" was correct. Most jws need a date to cling to, try to pick one within their own lifetime, because then it will be true "they will never die" but go straight into their paradise without ever experiencing a physical death. My family from the previous generation believed that. Only one is still living at 96 and they are sinking fast. I see the need for the WTS invented "overlapping generation." The WTS has adjusted their "prediction" many times, and let previous predictions "die" without mentioning them again or the generation of the prediction die out. But ex-jws will keep it known.

I used to wonder as I grew up in the WTS, who does the WTS say in print who speaks with Jesus' voice.
1976: How then will people today hear the voices of God and his Chief Shepherd? By hearing God’s commands and principles as set forth in the Scriptures. Who will tell them? Not the clergy! No, but only Jehovah’s Witnesses carry on work of preaching the good news of the Kingdom and teaching Bible truth in all the earth. Though Jesus Christ is not now speaking in person, people can ‘hear his voice’ through visible representatives, even as overseer Paul made appeal as substituting for Christ. (visible representatives--2013
THE VISIBLE PART OF JEHOVAH’S ORGANIZATION INCLUDES:
The Governing Body
Branch Committees
Traveling overseers
Bodies of elders
Congregations
Each congregation publisher
2023 Today Jehovah leads the earthly part of his organization by means of “the faithful and discreet slave. (And what has the WTS identified as that organization and only that organization...?) See the list above

Better off PIMA than POMA or POMO.
by ExBethelitenowPIMA inthe situation is many of us are pima and all putting on a front, sometimes saying something we don’t fully believe.
or at least are actually agnostic about but a hope that it’s true.. but it can be useful if someone is really going through a hard time or has something they are very worried about, to say things like well let’s hope there is not much longer of this old system.. this can be useful in an awkward situation where you just don’t know what to do or say.
it’s a little bit of hope that can help when there is nothing else.. my agnosticism just means i won’t look back over decades thinking i wasted my life.

I let others define what category (if necessary to choose one) they fit in; ask themselves are they happy with their chosen status, do they want to change it, not just choose a new category. I have been PIMI, PIMO, POMO but not found it necessary to label myself, atheist, agnostic, deist, humanist, etc. I have my views and lifestyle. I know some ex-jws are gone to other Christian religions, other choose their personal religious group of views, some go to church for the social advantages, others are "activists" others not. But I don't judge. We all have a central story that we can help people telling our own experiences. I respect the jws or ex-jws that do that here and on other groups. Thanks.
