For example, "Just hang in there, keep preaching, and don’t let those pesky present-day needs harsh your spiritual vibe. Sounds like a plan, right?"

I can think of three changes to the identity of Babylon the great (is the GT the cutoff point to become jws and survive) Can you share the changes you have seen in the last 6 months in the publications, Publication name year month and page #?

Can someone remind me the reason's you could be disfellowshipped?
by SydBarrett inthe only reasons i can remember are smoking, sexual immorality and of course, apostasy.
there must be others but having been out since 1990, i'm drawing a blank.
i was thinking perhaps serious criminal offenses that result in prison, but then i remembered a brother in my congregation in the 1980's who went to prison.

Haven't gone for 25 years. We live very close to a KH but did not bother checking # attending, 4 congregations sharing one KH, so only 2 can have it at the KH, and the other 2 have to rent space. Numbers are very subjective. For many attendees, it is the only jw meeting they attend a year, then have little to nothing after with jw meetings. Numbers don't really matter. The other expected activities, especially "counting" time are gone, and amount was suspicious before that. Attendance went up a lot after 9-11 but dropped of quickly after "armageddon" did not follow it.

What is really Babylon the great?
by Halcon infor believers of god and christ, it seems that it should be obvious that babylon the great of revelation should be all religions and spiritual practices associated with the one true enemy of christ...the devil, satan, the snake etc.
essentially any group or individual practicing and promoting witchcraft, sorcery, devil worshipping etc.
all things practiced in ancient babylon (the nation presumably used as the model for the one in revelation).. or is this too simple of an explanation?.

1950 Only today the anointed witnesses and their good-will companions have no jackals to carry the firebrands of truth.

1960 “At this time all Christian witnesses of Jehovah and their good-will companions are looking forward to the Peace-pursuing District Assemblies that are to be held throughout the world during 1960.” (last mention of this term “good will companions”)
Per the WT, this means the WT meant that at one point non-anointed (goodwill companions were the great crowd) but not Jehovah's witnesses.
