How do they decide when to get rid of certain information in their publications?
by Tameria2001 ini was recently watching a video on youtube and on the john cedars channel, he was talking about how the watchtower has discontinued quite a few of their books from back when i was still active.
so it got me to thinking about how do they decide that certain teaching doesn't fit them anymore.
so i was wondering does anyone have any ideas on how they come to that decision because if any of their members bring up something, that person can be disfellowshipped?.

Yep! Blondie hit the nail on the head! Every time they change their minds, well then, we better publish a new book and get rid of the old one. This is true of a whole bunch of WT publications.

Great Sell-Off is for the Expansion Work in Africa

Are there any JW songs that you HATE?
by neat blue dog inyou're probably thinking 'all of them', and it's true that the songbook is riddled with wrong stuff .
but are there any songs in particular that irk your moral sensibilities?.
for me it would be song #26, "you did it for me".

Seriously though, if things keep going the way they are, they will probably just keep selling Kingdom Hall after Kingdom Hall, and Assembly Halls, and just do all their meetings online.
The Watchtower depends so much now on the internet, they will probably try and save money by doing everything they can online.
I very rarely see a JW open a real Bible. It's all tablets, i-phones and gadgets to make everything easier.
I have never seen such lazy so-called ministers.

I agree. I don't like that approach either. It is counter-productive and fuels the fire for their claim of persecution. Every picture I have viewed for the past 2 years has shown Kingdom Halls half empty or less.
Your time span of 15 to 20 years may even prove to show a hint of kindness. The rate of decrease is becoming more and more evident.

does their united stand against this practice stem from man-made doctrine or a belief that a person's faith can heal medical ailments?
