  women who marry men seven to nine years their junior could be upping their odds of dying sooner, german researchers report.. "one of the few possible explanations is that couples with younger husbands violate social norms and thus suffer from social sanctions," sven drefahl, from the max planck institute for demographic research (mpidr) in rostock, germany, said in a news release.

  such couples could therefore be stigmatized as outsiders -- receiving less social support, enduring a more stressful life and perhaps developing poorer health as a result, drefahl speculated.. please, what is your reaction to this new research finding?

  Back in the late 50's the KH I attended was in an old theater. The theater seats were very comfortable.

  after being absent for years from the borgorg i really noticed the purposeful fake tone of the voices of the gb.

  i was just surfing cults and cult leaders and found an interesting link with the gb and cult leaders...... in the satirist:.

  The whole disfellowshipping thing makes for bad manners. How can you greet someone one week and then ignore them the next. Better just get in the habit of ignoring everyone at the hall, you never know who might be next.

  This article is crazy. I thought you could know they are Christians by their love? Did Paul ever tell his folks to have better manners????

  Did You Exit the Witnesses Due to Injustices / Difference with Doctrine-Both?

  many of us leave due to injustices committed inside the organization.

  i did initially.

  i had doubts about some doctrines for years - but not until after leaving the witnesses was i free to be able to confirm my suspicions and see that yes, i did have valid reasons to have doubts all those years .

  Why Do JWs Say Jehovah Protects His People & Then Claim "Time & Unforseen Occurences"?

  you'll hear experiences of how jehovah god protected his people in modern times, how only jehovah's witnesses didn't die in a calamity, how an angel evidently protected a person, etc.

  they'll show how jehovah takes care of his people by all sorts of almost "miraculous" events----but if a witness did die or something deadly happened to a carload of jws, well, then, it's just "time and unforseen occurence" and we can't expect jehovah to perform miracles in our day, anyway!.

  what gives?

  That is exactly as I remember it, littlebird. Only the organization as a whole was protected and that Jehovah did not protect individuals.

  i think it's obvious that the answer must weigh in favor of the more humble gender.

  and what's more humble that posing a question with an obvious answer for the sake of letting the weaker gender feel better about themselves?

  therefore, "male" is the obvious answer.
