  Preaching Good News or a Warning Message...?

  i remember in the 90's articles and talks about the preaching work and that when the end was close the gb would know when it was time to begin preaching a warning message to the people that would mark them out once and for all before armageddon..so, are they still preaching good news or have they begun warning the natives yet?

  My Deleted Elder Friend Stopped By.......

  with his wife to say that it's been 3 months since my daughter's wedding and in october he got deleted for going to it even though the presiding overseer told him it was a "conscience matter.

  period.

  ".....the circuit overseer saw it differently and removed my friend as an elder amd my mom as a regular pioneer because of a letter sent only to circuit overseers in 1999!!!!

  Maybe it will bring him to his senses and he'll realize that this is no 'Truth'. I do feel for him, though, genuinely an unfair situation in which to be placed.

  i have now for 1 or 2 years or so slowly slipping further and further away from "the truth".

  for that period i've been wondering if there existed a god, and if jehovahs witness was the only "right" religion and so on.

  i've really been split.

  I was raised a JW as well and I wish that I had come to my senses at 15! While I knew being a JW was not what I wanted, I was already baptized and either had to play along or be totally abandoned by my JW family at a very young age. I really don't know what would be best at your age. If you blurt out this is not what you want, you will probably send them into a panic. They will try and pound even more scriptures into your head, study more often. You will be less likely to get any normal amount of freedom that a 15 yr old JW gets. Your parents at this point in time pretty much have the upper hand. Not a bad idea to contact your school conselor about the situation.

  In your shoes, I would be inclined to 'fake' it until 18 and under no circumstances get baptized!

  It is much better to play cool, eventually you may find ways to help your family to see have you have seen already.

  Coincidence or Stress?

  recently and over the years some of the elders and ministerial servants who have been deleted and or forced to step down have died young.

  what do you attribute this to?

  do you know of such occurances in your cong.

  I doubt it's coincidence. Stress wreaks havoc on the body, I find it easy to believe that it could lead to serious health complications and death. Sad to have that happening in what is claimed to be a loving, uplifting environment.

  after celebrating an incredible christmas with my family and coming here to read some post i wanted to wish you all a good tidings.

  for the most part, people can not imagine what happens to people who are raised in the "truth" or invovled for a long time.

  having grown up as a witness my dad the congregation overseer i realize all to well what we go through once realzing the reality of the lies.

  Would You Even Bother?

  so, my jw mother passed on word to the local cong.

  that i was df-ed, had just moved into the area and could use that yearly 'shepherding' phone call to see if anything has changed.

  i was not home at the time, my husband took the call.
