Society says Jehoiakim begin to rule in 628 and Zedekiah in 617. You can not get 607 using these dates. They both ruled 11years. add 22 to 628 =606. If you figure 628-627 as 1 year down to 617 is 11 years and figure 617-616 as 1 year down to 606 is 11 years. Society also says Nebuchadnezzar begin to rule in 624 and the Bible says at 2Kings 25:8-9 it was the 19th year of Nebuchadnezzar that jerusalem was desolated. 624 -19=606. History says 605 was Nebuchadnezzar's first year so his ascension would have been 606.Counting 605 as 1 year down to 587 is his 19th year. History and the Bible agree. Society agrees with no one but their self.

Book study this coming week..

letting all know that an artfully contrived false story will be studied in next weeks book study "what does the bible really teach" in the appendix on pg 215. .

1914-a significantyear in bible prophecy.. decades in advance, bible students proclaimed that there would be significant developments in 1914. what were these, and what evidence points to 1914 as such an important year?.....

the rest of this book does not anwser this question because the only thing the bible students said about 1914 before 1914 was that this would be the beginning of armarggetton.

I am making all thinghs new" on page 23 paragraph 46 "For some 35 years prior to 1914, The Watchtower had been calling attention to 1914 as a year marked in Bible prophecy." 35 years ago would have been 1879. The Time Is At Hand" book on page 11 states "Bile chronology shows 1000 year reign of Jesus begin in 1873."

The missing 20 years and Jehoiachin's exile

in my attempt to make this issue as simplified as possible, i have set out to determine exactly wherein the wts' missing 20 years must be found (607 bc versus 587/86 bc).

i think i have done it, and i would like some confirmation/correction from alleymom, leolaia, narkissos and any others who consider themselves scholarly types.. first, using the kiss method alleymom posted some time back i regressed the accession years of the kings.

since the hillah stele astronomically confirms the first regnal year of nabonidus in 555 bc, and since the wts unqualifiedly agrees with this date (although they neglect to inform why they agree), nabonidus' accession year was 556 bc.

Auidsoul, My "Funk and Wagnalls Dictionary" says Jehoiakim begin to rule in 609. Jehoiachin finished the last few months of his 11 years. Zedekiah was the last ruler who ruled 11 years. 609 -22 = 587. 587 - 537 = 50 years that Jerusalem was desolated.

after all, its by us doing so that our work is rewarded with the precious gift of everlasting life.

THE ARTICAL ABOUT VOTING IS IN THE 1999 WATCHTOWER NOVEMBER 1 PAGE.28.WHICH SAYS "IF YOU SEE A SISTER VOTING YOU SHOULDN'T SAY ANYTHING" DON'T NO WORD FOR WORD WHAT IT SAID BUT THE THOUGHT WAS, IT IS OK TO VOTE. BUT NOW THEY SAY CHRISTAINS DO NOT VOTE. THE LIGHT GET'S BRIGHTER AND BRIGHTER. FUNNY HOW THEY CHANGE THEIR VIEW ON MATTERS AND SO MANY STILL BELIEVE IT'S GOD'S ORGANIZATION. MY SON WAS ALREADY LABELED AN APOSTATE WHEN THAT CAME OUT BECAUSE HE HAD DISAGREED WITH THE ORGANIZATION ON ANOTHER DOCTRINE.
