I BELIEVE IT WAS A SIGN IN THE EARLY CHRISTAINS DAY AND WAS FULLFILLED BEFORE THE END CAME IN 70C.E. THE WTS CANNOT FULLFILL ANYTHING BECAUSE APOSTATES ARE RUNNING THAT ORGANIZATION.

How do JW's arrive at 537BCE for the release of the jews by Cyrus?
by digderidoo infrom all of my research so far on the 607 issue the only argument that jw's have for it is the 70 year period counting backwards from 537bce.
as 539bce is the accepted date for cyrus conquering babylon, why do they say 537bce is the date he released the jews and not 538bce or 536bce for instance?.

Josephus said that the exile lasted 50 years. 587-50=537. It's that simple. Don't tell JWs.
It wouldn't do any good to tell them, they are not allowed to believe the truth. If they do, they are labled "Apostate."

she had asked me if she could recooperate at my place.
it's nice and quiet at my place and besides, she knows i'll spoil her rotten.. yesterday (thursday) i had to take her to her doctor's for a post surgery check when i got off of work.

A very good example for most JWs. Of course, they can't think for their self, so they may not get the meaning.

How To Get People Out

how do you even go about doing this without getting df'd for apostasy?

People like to think they are open-minded but this is often not true, esp. with JWs.
How true that is. When I realized the WTS was very wrong, I left. One day my Daughter calls and tells me, the Elders are coming to talk with me and she says,"Please have an open mind and listen to them." I told her, "If they will have an open-mind and listen to me, I will listen to them." Well they came out and when they got backed in a corner, they would change the subject. They didn't care what my problem was. But they went to my Daughter and said that I never gave them a chance to talk. I tried to tell her they lied but she believes them. I even ask my Daughter if she would discuss a certain thing with me but she said."No, It's too frustrating talking about the Bible." Guess she will always stay in and I know there are others who feel bad for raising their kids in that cult and you feel so helpless because there is nothing you can do. They will have to see it their self.

by minimus inwhen i first joined this board, i felt they had "cultish" aspects but would not go to the point of saying the "c" word.. now, i unequivocally say that jws are a cult!.
