I was in for 33years. Left about 5 years ago. Elders came out 1 time to see what my problem was. Have not heard from them since. I have not been DF.

Of the one's DF'd here, how many have been called on by the Elders?
by Fishbulb inwhen i left the organization one of the reasons i did so was because of the hypocrisy i saw within the congregation regarding sheepherding the weak.
people who were struggling to make meetings, ones who were house-ridden due to illness or depression, ones who don't keep a prominent position in the hall, these ones were all ignored.
i was one who never ever ever missed a meeting and in august i suddenly stopped going.

JWs Are Like Others: They Take The Good With The Bad
by minimus inthe more i dwell on people, in general, the more i realize that jws act pretty much the same as others.. if someone is in a marriage, they accept the good and the bad and simply accept the differences.. some people have jobs that they don't love but it's the lesser of 2 evils to be employed, so they stay at the same place for decades.. in politics, you might not be crazy over the person in the party that you prefer but you stick with the candidate for better or worse.. many jws have certain things they don't like about their religion but stay in their congregations because "where else would they go?
" .
perhaps jehovah's witnesses are no different than the average person.....what do you say?.

Many JWs have certain things they don't like about their religion but stay in their congregations because "where else would they go?"
Most will not go anywhere because of the price they have to pay. They will be labled an "Apostate" and that scares the rest of their family and so called friends, so they will view you like you do not exist. Most do not realize it is a cult untill they raise their kids in it. If there ever was a law against a religion, it should be that one. If the Bible and the WTS disagree on the same subject, you have to believe the WTS.

Do you get upset when people don't believe that same way you do?
by loosie inis it a normal reaction to get mad when you talk to someone who doesn't believe that way you do?.
the reason i ask is that i don't believe in the most common christianity.
when i come across a person and they ask how i feel about something and i tell them how i feel.

No, everyone has a right to believe what they want. WTS is the one who does't like anyone to disagree with them.

The Great Tribulation?
by Blueblades inbesides talking about the great tribulation and using it to scare the rank and file that it is coming real soon, when was the last watchtower study that dealt with this subject in - depth?.
i think it was somewhere in the nineties.
anyone remember and know when the watchtower did an in - depth study on this teaching?.

There was a brother in the congregation where I used to go, He was a police officer and he carried a gun. He couldn't be used in the congregation but he said he was too close to retirement to lose his job. He retired several years ago and is an Elder now.

I personally believe there was only 1 great tribulation as Jesus said and that was in 70 C.E. And where does the WTS get that Armageddon follows the great tribulation that they say is going to happen? The Bible does not say anything about it. Revelation chapter 16 verses where it talks about Armagaddon,I believe has already happened. Compare Jeremiah chapter 51. "Babylon The Great" in REV. does not picture false religion but is "Babylon" of the Bible. This is my thoughts.

The Watchtower-January 15,1970 page 43 even states"all of Matthew chapter 24 was fullfilled upon Jerusalem in 70 C.E. They say it has a greater fullfillment but Jesus never said it did. Matthew 24 verse 21, Jesus said there would never be another great tribulation. To the WTS everything has a greater fullfillment.
