They recited the Lord’s Prayer until the 1940s, or 1950s in some places. Nowadays they emphasise putting prayer into your own words and not reciting repetitious prayers as Jesus warned against.

JWs and the Lord's Prayer
by punkofnice inhow often do you hear the lord's prayer at the meetings or in jw homes?.
i don't know if they revised their stance with the new leaders in america, but i don't recall it having much weight when i were a wee'un.. i think the nwt said, 'pray then, this way....'.
so, jesus gave instructions on how to pray, as in actual words to say.......so the jws don't?

Did he really say lifesaving work?
More like funding a low-life to evade work.

Minus 400 patrons later
In total (don’t know the livestream in particular) according to the graphtreon site his peak was 896 patrons and he’s now on 329, so that’s down 567 patrons, or down 63%. He’s added some YouTube members apparently, to offset that, very slightly.

Probably indicative of the kind of people inclined to keep sending him patron money too, over 300 of them. The mind boggles, even though it's down from nearly 900 it's still a remarkable number.
YouTuber Boogie lost 90% of his patrons and over 90% of his audience when he unmasked himself, but it took a few years. That's probably where LE is ultimately headed. Even when he stops YouTube altogether there will probably still be 5% sending him money, and he'll keep collecting as long as they're stupid enough to keep sending it.

That video was terrible, even at the time, I can’t see how his followers didn’t see that. He basically said: “she doesn’t want to do a video but here I am forcing her to do it anyway”, in the car while she couldn’t escape, she looked miserable. His excuse was that his patrons voted for it, so by his logic she had to do it.

lol I believe it was probably along those lines, but it was particularly impressive that AI could lipread Trump even when Kamala Harris’s husband’s head was in the way 😆

Is Jesus a Created Being? Debate with a Pastor
by raymond frantz inhttps://youtu.be/ro6q_osgkns?si=hyxualluhruwvjnb.
—colossians 1:15 from the nwt says it plain as day: “he is the image of the invisible god, the firstborn of all creation.” that’s not vague; it’s got a punch.
“firstborn” and “creation” sit side by side, and in greek, that second word is “ktisis,” which means the physical stuff—trees, stars, you name it.

Totally agree. The phrase “firstborn of all creation” is so clear in explaining who Jesus is that it took centuries of Trinitarian dogma to attempt to obscure its plain meaning. The passage in Colossians is drawing on the Jewish wisdom tradition which also describes God’s first creation. It includes the parallel thought that Jesus is “the firstborn from the dead”. In other words, just as Jesus was God’s first creation, so also Jesus is the first human (“the firstborn among many brothers” Rom 8.29) who God raised from the dead to immortality. In context Jesus is also called the image of God, the beginning, and the one by whom God created all things. Such emphatic language is no doubt why most church goers when surveyed in fact agree with JWs that Jesus is God’s first creation, exalted in power and glory, no ordinary angel, but second only to God himself.

I fully agree with TD that AI doesn’t deliver fact. I happen to agree with the summary it produced about Nordstream 2 in this instance, and I think the reasons it gave are pretty sound. It could equally have given a wrong view and poor reasons if it happened to draw upon material offering those.
To me it’s simply amazing that AI now produces something resembling language at all. Sometimes it even produces language that passes for meaningful responses, and at other times it makes weird mistakes that underline it doesn’t really “understand” anything in the way that we understand the world. That having been said, it doesn’t need to “understand” anything in order to be frighteningly effective and dangerous. Just as AI can beat all humans at chess without understanding what chess even is, so it can (and probably will) eliminate all humans without any malice or grand scheme behinds its actions. -

Nobody outside the West doubts that the US blew up Nordstream 2. Even a goat herder in Mongolia or somebody living in a hut in the Amazon knows that’s obvious. Inside the West the elites know it too, that’s why the Polish foreign minister thanked the US and why the Swedish government hid the results of its investigation. To believe anything else you need to be switched on to BBC, CNN, The Times, or other Western propaganda outlets. At least during the USSR people knew they were subject to propaganda. The propaganda now in the West is more formidable than anything in the USSR because the general population doesn’t even recognise it as such. As least people in the USSR knew the news was propaganda and treated it with due suspicion. People in the West are gullible by comparison.
As Jeffrey Sachs said in the clip, in order not to know the obvious that the US destroyed Nordstream 2 you have to be listening to western media. It’s powerful testimony to the power of propaganda that we are subjected to that even though the US threatened, celebrated, and failed to deny that they destroyed Nordstream 2, nevertheless the western media classed it a “conspiracy theory” and pushed the ridiculous idea that Russia blew up its own pipeline instead. It’s as if the propagandists are making fun of people at this point by testing what ridiculous stories can be accepted.

Blotty I wonder what is it in the history of unprovoked invasions of other countries, international assassinations, overturning elections in other countries, installing puppet regimes, and now open financial, logistical, and technical support for genocide in Gaza and the murder of tens of thousands of children, that makes you conclude the United States would draw the line at blowing up a Russian pipeline?
