  Has Anyone Got Any Proof That The Society Monitors Apostate Web Sites?

  i am extremely skeptical about this, yet people on this forum seem to talk about it as though it were a fact.

  so has anyone got any actual concrete proof?

  here are the reasons why i don't think they do:.

  Were the lawyers Witnesses?

  Even if they are, they may have looked at such sites for the purposes of the case.

  This does not prove that the society systematically surveys apostate sites as a matter of course.

  I am well aware that they tried to get the "Pay Attention to the Flock" book of the Internet. And they must have had someone notice it in the first place!!! But this is not the same as the kind of "monitoring" that people were talking about in the other thread.

  There is no evidence that the wbts are in the habit of monitoring this or any other apostate site. At least, no one has yet presented it.

  how can those doing the monitoring not be affected by what they read here?.

  how can anyone not be affected by the paedophilia scandal, the un scandal, the 1975 debacle?.

  how do they find someone to read here and still stay a jw?.

  how do you know what's true, what's exaggerated, and what's totally false?.

  this for example...... would you classify this true, exaggerated or false?.

  I am simply challenging the the common assumptions here for which there appear to be no bases.

  The biggest lie is the one that everyone believes!!!

  i recently read an article about jw's that, if had the choice, would probably leave because of the deceptions, lies, etc., but don't because of family, friends, prestige, whatever, and instead lead a make-believe life going through the motions of being a loyal and believing follower of the watchtower organization.

  most of those purported to be part of this non-believing/participating, but attending, jw population, are folks that have been associated with the jw's for a number of years, but, as many have, decided that the lies and constant changes (new light) just don't make sense anymore.

  i would suspect that identifying those who just "go through the motions" of being a good jw would be difficult.

  I think this is true of very few Jehovah's Witnesses.

  The fact is that most of them really believe it. If people on this site were honest then most of them would admit that they believed it at one time. And if they believed it then there is no reason to think that all the other Jehovah's Witnesses are any different.

  If some elders come here off there own back (I am sure some do) then that is not the same as saying that the wbts frequently spy on/monitor apostate sites. Can't you see the difference?

  I am insulting no one, I am simply challenging people's unproven assertions.

  It troubles me when about 20 people or so can join a thread and pat each other on the back and say "yes we are all right, the wbts, definitely do spy on us cause we are so important", and yet no one stops to think is there is any real proof. Then when I ask for proof it is almost like I had asked a Witness to prove the 607 date!!!

  I am open to accepting proof, but so far no one has offered any real proof.
