Sometimes I get the idea that JWs don't view this kind of behaviour as problematic. They think you are the problem because you are not a good JW as if it's you creating the difficulty for everyone else. And if you point out their behaviour is unkind they just feel righteous/persecuted/superior with no sense of shame.

If you're expecting a mass exodus anytime soon, FORGET ABOUT IT!
by nowwhat? ini have to make a token appearance at the k.h.
once a month or so and this week went to a different hall.
and believe me they are all still totally oblivious to all the negative news about the pedophiles and shunning that have come under scrutiny by the media and other governments.

There's a letter from the Society from the early 1990s saying that contributions since the literature charges were dropped were disappointing. A few years later hardcover books were changed to paperbacks and magazine subscriptions and individual orders stopped. Then the literature was gradually reduced, to the point where there's little left. -

A book by JW
by Catcat ini bought a book that was published by one brother in our area.
the title, if only, the brother didnt change his name he is, alex bogdanov, to support this brother i bought his book.
it is fiction about couples and i didnt think nothing of it, but after reading a few chapters one of the characters is an ex jw, i don’t think this character is disfellowshipped in the book, but she is definitely not active.

Yes it is apostasy. Let's not be confusing, now.
There's a possible cat called apostasy on the loose on this thread too, which I think deserves note. (And a cartoon strip of its own)

AUSTRALIA: Religion start selling real estate assets to pay compensation to child abuse victims following Child Abuse Royal Commission
by jwleaks inpaying for the sins of their church.
australians are becoming less religious so congregations are getting smaller.
that means there are fewer parishioners to contribute money.. ..."they're simply looking at the dollars they can reap from the sale of this wonderful old building and i simply don't feel that i should be spending my weekends keeping the view clear," mr thomas said.. ...the royal commission into child sexual abuse exposed widespread paedophilia within religion and concluded that its leaders were at times weak, ineffectual, and even complicit.. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-03-30/paying-for-the-sins-of-their-church/9586602.

The facts:
1. Other religions are selling assets to pay for abuse claims.
2. JWs have a high number of abuse cases.
3. They are selling branches, assembly halls and Kingdom Halls.
Morpheus' conclusion:
JWs have never been better off financially. It's all part of a GB master plan to restructure. There is no crisis.

18 carefully follow the latest directions.. do we faithfully follow the latest directions that jehovah has given us?
if so, we will not rely on always doing things the way we have done them in the past.

I see there are prison bars on the front cover: the seige mentality and imagery continue.
Is the woman in the blue dress meant to be immodest? Really? The mind boggles. And is the guy meant to be wearing, shock horror, tight pants?
There's no mistaking the backward glance and snear of the brother with glasses: "I'm so spiritually superior to you it hurts".
I think it might be true they are going to stop reporting time for the ministry. Which also means no annual statistics report. I think they've given up on growth and are focussing on survival.
Other than that, things are deteriorating financially for Watchtower so rapidly that it may be difficult for them to plan far ahead. They may simply be issuing generalised "you must obey us/Jehovah" statements with abandon to cover all their bases.
