  Pop music lyric quiz

  i was doing quite well at a pub quiz game yesterday, so i thought it would make a good idea for a thread.

  all you have to do is name the song and the artist the lyrics come from.. i'll start you off with an easy one.... (no cheating by looking it up on the internet, ok?).

  Opinion - looking for some insight

  i was wondering something and wanted to see what others thought .... my sister, an active witness, recently became a foster parent to a baby.

  in history, the baby is the child of my uncles underage girlfriend, that he is now serving time for raping (under age, always seen as a rape).

  the young woman was doing meth (clean for almost a year now), and was living with her own mother who was an alcoholic.

  Such turmoil. And that child being brought up as a JW in an angry, manipulative marriage.

  The child could be placed in a loving home where both parents want a child to love and nurture.

  What's my role here????

  my daughter (29)is expecting our first grandchild first of nov (not that i trust dates!

  ) and i plan on being there for the birth.

  my dilemna is that i am trained as a doula(labor coach), and have assisted some of her friends in their birthings, but now that its my daughter's turn i'm worried about how to handle it!

  "Brave New World" -- have you read it?

  i've heard alot about this book, but i've never read it.

  today we happened upon a yard sale and there it was!

  so i grabbed it.. i can't put the thing down.

  This book was required reading in High School for me. (My parents were told ahead of time of the content and surprisingly that allowed it.) I don't remember many details but do remember that Aldous Huxley was quoted in a few Watchtower articles.

  I also being surprised when a friend of mine was prescribed Soma for muscle spasms. Soma was the drug that was given out so freely. I bought several books at a book sale last year. This was one of them. It's about time for me to start reading this one again. Thanks for the thread and comments. I did not recall a JW correlation.
