  Do any small creatures frighten & freak you out?

  here's the dirty dozen: .

  1) ants- imagine being buried in a sandpile up to your neck with sand.

  along come a bunch of ants from an ant colony, and they crawl all over your head, in and out of your nose, your mouth, your ears, your eyes, and all thru your hair.

  Salamanders- particularly the ones that are all black with yellow dots on their backs. Her mom and grandmother told her they were "bad" because to touch them meant that she would have nothing but "girls" when she had children. Wouldn't you know it, she had 2 girls, and no boys. I guess they were right in their predictions, eh??!!!

  THEY DON"T MAKE BABIES, PEOPLE DO! +=

  I actually have a spotted salamander...They are 100% HARMLESS... They do not even have toxins like most brightly colored amphibians do. They do NOT give you warts, they DO NOT give you GIRLS, OR BOYS... They just wonder around the forest floor eating worms, slugs, and tiny insects...

  some people have the strangest superstitions..

  Well, I keep and breed snakes and lizards so not afraid of them.. I also keep mice and rats to feed the snakes..have also kept them as pets. Do NOT care for wild ones as they care too many diseases.

  I CANT stand cockroaches as I was raised in a roach infested home and they give me the creeps. I have a small phobia of anything that buzzes around my head, bees, wasps, large flies etc..BUT I am not afraid of getting stung..just hit in the face(has to do with childhood trama). I can do without spiders, but I no longer grab the swatter to kill them...I let my cats do that...lol I have actually SET THEM FREE....GO figure..

  AND then there are the Jehovah's NitWits that buzz around my door and try to invade my life, as they have done in the past....Of course, they are sent to me by my JW Mother..Not afraid of, but still bugs me..

  FRANKLY, I WOULD RATHER TOUCH A COCKROACH THEN A JW...

  how do i stop having a lonely life?

  i am 33 years old and have never had a relationship with anyone.

  i have never dated..and as much as i would like to blame the jws, truth is i have never been asked out by anyone..ever.. i am a bit large, but i am not too fat or ugly and i think i am a good person, so why can't i find someone??

  how do i stop having a lonely life?

  i am 33 years old and have never had a relationship with anyone.

  i have never dated..and as much as i would like to blame the jws, truth is i have never been asked out by anyone..ever.. i am a bit large, but i am not too fat or ugly and i think i am a good person, so why can't i find someone??

  How do I stop having a lonely life? I am 33 years old and have never had a relationship with anyone. I have never dated..and as much as I would like to blame the JWs, truth is I have never been asked out by anyone..ever.. I am a bit large, but I am not too fat or ugly and I think I am a good person, so why can't I find someone?? I am too timid to ask first, so maybe that is problem.. But HOW do I find a guy who can understand why a 33 yrold woman has never dated??, and has no idea about relationships and whatnot..(not to mention the "S" word)

  I was raised a wit but never really told anyone. I do admit that as a teen I was pretty depressed. I did not take care of myself very well, and was basically afraid of everyone. I grew up in tiny town and am glad I never dated those people (very drugged out town)... But I moved to new state 5 years ago.. and nobody really knows my past or even my JW life.. and still nobody.. I do have a few friends.. but I get tired of going to "family friendly" events and being the only person by themselves.. Same thing when I go to weddings, or family reunions.. I am the only one sitting by themselvs..and sometimes there is even an empty chair at the table which makes it worse.

  So how do I recover from such a lack of life?? That old saying, "Better to have loved and lost"... Really starting to suck!!!

  NOPE. I never thought I would ever get out of this trap. I was raised in and tried to be one of them. Always wanted to please them, but I never felt like anyone ever cared about ME... I always envisioned that I would be sitting of curb watching Armagedon come and not being allowed to be apart of it because I did not become baptized and do the witness thing.. The fact that I did not have any Godly love for the religion(and I told my study people that) did not matter.. It only mattered that I did the work, not give a damn about feelings.

  QUESTION: DID YOU EVER THINK YOU'D BE FREE??? DID YOU EVER THINK YOU'D NOT CARE WHAT THEY THINK OF YOU?? DID YOU EVER THINK YOU'D ACTUALLY FIND THE WITNESSES REPULSIVE???

  DEMONS!!!

  As in the Demons are entering your mind. That is demonic..OR my favorite (from my mother) "I think there are demons in this house"

  I remember on sister refered to a mentally ill homeless man as having a DEMON in HIM... He wasn't schizophrenic, HE WAS POSSESSED...

  Hi all. I am somewhat new to board. I am member of a few Yahoo email groups, but this is my first attempt to chat with so many ex witnesses. I have no idea where to being and would like a few pointers.. There is SO much here...

  A little about me.. I'm a 30s chick and I was raised in but never got baptized.. My mother is only one in whole family that is witness, but since I was not raised with any other family members, her religion is/was only thing I knew.. I gave up almost 10 years ago, thinking it was ME... but 3 years ago I joined a women's exjw support group and now I am realizing it was THEM not ME... SO here I am at 33 not knowing what to believe or who to trust... I do NOT trust the JWs, and can barely stand religion at all...

  I hope I can chat with others... And learn how to rid myself of the Guilty feelings..
