i know this recent video has been talked about already but i just watched it and here are a few things that got me annoyed as usual:.
splane says that if a bible student says he saw some negative information from apostates and asks us to explain it, we shouldn't look at it or address anything specifically, but instead we should tell them to go to meetings and hear what we have to say about ourselves and also tell them to befriend people at the hall.
for any person with integrity and/or intelligence, this is not a satisfactory answer.
After this talk.... No matter -how poor the Sunday speaker is, how childish the WT article is written, how many times they are asked for money, how long they have been waiting for the New World....
They had better keep smiling and say everything is wonderful, or they are branded as " negative " " going out of the truth" " a bad associate"

When reading some stuff recently I was struck by some similarities between Seventh Day Adventists and JWs.
I never met an Adventist in my ministry days, but if a witness does and got down to a conversation, I think he would be surprised.
It seems they took the Watchtower out of the Adventists but kept a lot of adventism in the Watchtower.
i realize that some activist exjws really don’t seem to be happy in life.
they finally got away from the organization and yet seem still negatively connected to it.
some exjws are always upset because of what the “truth “ did to their lives, which is understandable.
Oh yes. I am off that treadmill of constant meetings, field service , prepare tbe next meeting etc.
Sometimes, even now I miss tbe sense of spirituality, the hope that I had... but it's no good if it is not true.
Overall I am happier in myself . I have not done a lot but I have kept my marriage and that has improved despite our differences of religion now. I am told I am a happier person .I certainly feel it.

Splane’s message is that the media are all biased , the court system is corrupt, “ Just because a man is found guilty does not mean that he is guilty “ Jurors cannot be trusted and if we settle out of court that is just being expedient.
The examples they give of why some lose their faith are hardly practical. He warns against on line forums .... where evil apostates may lurk disguised as brothers...
Negative comments are definitely out, so dubs must put on a painted smile at all times....
Yuk.! If I were wavering , this would push me over the edge.

Mine are ..... they all agree it is a “blessing “ being at home for the meetings and don’t know how they ever found time for the ministry. Long may it last....
the september 2015 broadcast had david splane explain matthew 24:34 “truly, i say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place”.
his explanation of this scripture was by means of a chart to indicate an overlapping generation.. .
no scripture was used to show the overlapping generation concept, and as a result it makes no sense.. to illustrate how crazy this concept is, look at the lyrics of the song my generation.. my generation.
We used to sneer at those in “ Christendom “ for teaching a trinity that postulated that 1 +1 +1 still equals 1 .......
Now they want us to believe that 1 generation + next generation equals 1 generation....
Nonsense! They make it up as they go along.
i remember when i was a jw, drinking a good wine or other liquor was looked down upon.
it’s better to put that money towards the worldwide work donations i always got told.
so the best thing i ever got was johnny walker red back then (johnny walker is cheap blend).
All depends where you were and the type of congregation you were in. There’s no rule against such drinks .

I sfarted it but the frequent interruptions from Evans and his mates was too irritating. I will certainly watch it when the video is released on the official site, with a lot of interest
