Yes , the search button on this site is pretty u/s... I have used Google Advanced Search which can be limited to a particular site..

today, it will be 90 degrees and humid!

this morning i’ll be playing tennis again.

while most people have been holed up in their houses, i have regularly played the sport outside.

Scientists have been divided so it is easy to find advice for and against them. Here they are not mandatory but now officially advised in indoor places. The idea is not to stop the wearer catching it but to reduce the spread of droplets from someone who has it, perhaps unknowingly.

So yes, I would wear one in a shopping mall or anywhere not open air. I see it as a civic duty to others

7 during the thousand year rule of christ, all of jehovah’s earthly children will have to make changes to please him.

so all of them will have true fellow feeling as they help the resurrected ones to combat sinful tendencies and to live by jehovah’s standards.

I don’t think it was intended to be taken as literally as you did . Yes , you are technically right in saying they don’t become adopted as God’s children until the end of the Millennium.

It just reads to me as a sloppy piece of writing. Standards are not what they were ..

There is plenty of BS certainly from fake remedies to conspiracy theories..

I don’t isolate to obey the law, I do it to protect my health . I’ll not mingle with the masses until either we are Covid free or I have had a vaccine

Field service national average - what do you think it is now?

it’s always been 10 hours when door to door was active.

i’m curious of how it’s changed with only letter writing and phone witnessing approved.. i’m curious if they are able to do it for 3 hours like a typical door to door morning.

i would be surprised.

Since March it must average little more than zero. Unless dubs have kids to study with, or a suitable person to write or email.... then field service has stopped .

Dubs I knoware enjoying a holiday.

Voting and JWs

with the upcoming elections, the campaigns and political rhetoric are ramping up.

(ramping up is an understatement lol) .

i remember a few years ago, gb member brother herd mentioned during one of his talks that several witnesses were either reproved or disfellowshipped for voting for a certain presidential candidate who won...twice.

Some things in the KH used to be put to the vote.... expenditures usually. I dont know if they still do ( difficult by zoom!) So much these days is dictated by central Bethel.

The question was really about political voting for governments. I always believed that article that said it was a conscience thing was a sop to the public authorities because in reality W T forbids such voting .

Whether today is is a disfellowshipping matter , I am not sure .The Shepherd the Flock book is not specific.

Do Jw's Dress up in meeting clothes for Zoom meetings?

i am just curious if anyone knows whether the "friends" still are required to wear "meeting clothes" for attending meetings through zoom?

such emphasis on dressing in a godly manner over the decades, would be interesting if some attend in pajamas or their work clothes, no makeup, etc....
