i just discovered how good guns n' roses are.
i was listening to a bunch of their songs and i can't believe they wrote so many good songs.
i was a quite a head banger before i became a witness and after joining i avoided a lot of heavy metal rock and a lot of worldly music in general.
music was my downfall being a JW, and part of the reason I left! I moved in with a drummer who played in a local band where I lived at the time, shame on me!!!!
Now I`m married to a musician who plays out all the time, ( rhythm guitar & lead singer). Long live rock~n~roll!! "welcome to the jungle" is still a fav. of GNR for me.

one of my hobbies is recording original music with either of the two bands i play in.
i've got a roland si24 8 track interface/control surface and use sonar on the pc, various plugins (waves native bundle dx plugins for mixing and isotope ozone for mastering) .
just finished one cd for one project with another in the mastering stage.
Dude you sound like a busy guy!! Don`t know much about it myself, but the hubby`s a musician! He talks about doing recording all the time with this friend of his who has equipment at his home. It sounds fun and exciting from some of the results they get!

born march 9, 1918 in brooklyn, ny, son of the late john and ann spillane.
mickey attended kansas state college where he played football.
I agree Juni, it appears as though this is usually the case! . Fellow book-sellers making money. But Mickey was upfront with who he was!
i know alot have been leaving lately, but i have been feeling for a while, that im ready to move on, you guys have been a wonderful source of friendship, kindness and support and i couldnt have done it without you all.. im in a happy place now and it feels great.. i will pop back on every now and then to touch base and show you pics of bubs when she makes her debut.. if any want my email addy pm, i would love to keep in touch with some.

You will be missed, but the birth of a newborn will keep you quite busy for months to come as many of us parents around here know !! Come by and ask any questions you may have.

i've had the opportunity to ignore or "shun", if you will, jehovah's witnesses that i know if i haven't felt like talking to them.
twice recently, i saw a jw----one an elder i "served" with and another ex-elder and i looked at them and pretended that they didn't exist......it was kinda fun.
You know what`s really strange is I live in the area where I grew up as a JW, but it`s such a coastal tourist type area with people moving in and out all the time I don`t see anyone I would, (or they would) recognize anymore, thank goodness. Just don`t cross paths with any, I`m so lucky!

restrangled soooooo been in your shoes! (growing up end of it!) My son has just turned 15 and we`ve really been trying to instill the "sense of his own reponsibility" for the things he "wants" and not really "needs" at this point in his life. Hard job!!!! they ALWAYS want to throw what "so & so has" at you. Been reenforcing all summer this year that we provide just fine for the things he needs (and some of things he wants!) anything else out there he comes up with is his own plan!! He did some baby-sitting and some small part-time stuff this summer, saying he`s "more than ready for doing part-time next summer for sure to have his own spending cash"!! He`s an only child so it`s hard to always just not go out and get what he wants, but we`ve learned through the past two years to STOP buying.
