WT about Greed and Money?
by Think inmillions of people from personal experience believe that from the beginning this is all about greed and money.
especialy when they claim that no colections are taken, but they lately constantly beg for more money, bank accounts, insurances, real estates, stocks, houses and so on.
can be that this is the real truth?

Totally with you on this one. Go Jojo. I had this huge discussion some years ago with a Bible Study that had been called on by a SDA. This guy was coming at me heavily with library books on archeology showing and proving secular history putting the destruction of jerusalem at 587 BCE. He just wanted me to explain why there was a 20 year difference between secular chronology and WT chronology.
I was stumped, I bought our best congregational historian/scholar with me next time. He couldn't answer him either. So like a huge ass that I was...[arrogant JW] I said that where secular history is different to Bible chronology, I'll take the Bible, and he should join the SDA's!!
What an ass. I am sorry, so sorry.

607BCE or 587/586BCE explained

i have some information in relation to the dates 607bce and 587/586bce, with the simple explanation of the 70years exile.
the wt still sticks with the 607bce due to the fact that the governing bodys explains that the jews returned back at about 537bce, assuming that they were finished with their bondage.

So Russell and Barbour were convinced that Jerusalem fell in 606BCE. They must have also felt that they had some kind of "Historical" evidence to support their belief?
Yet how is it that for convenience their supported year of 606BCE can be changed to 607BCE? Did someone then alter what happened in the time line? The 606 didnt fit so then simply change the year to 607, darn all the "historical evidence". Rechisel those stone plates and cuniform to say 607 instead of 606.....c'mon said Rutherford, no one will even notice...... -

anyone have/had this problem?
by lonelysam inim nearly 19, im right in the middle of leaving the borg, and i dont really know how to say this, (this is gunna sound stupid) but.. i havnt had a girlfriend for over 3 years, am still a virgin, and feel as if im never going to find the right girl for me, because i still beleive in sex after mariage.
not to mention i dont know where i stand on the whole bible thing.
now i know 19 is very young to be looking for a sort of 'serious' relationship, but im starting to feel a bit lonely, anyone have simalar problems after you left?

i'm successfully fading so far, but every now and again i get some well meaning zealot ask me about my missing the 5 weekly brainwashing sessions and the priviledge of hocking crap door to door.
as sort of a reverse reasoning book, lets see some good conversation stoppers that wont give away my position.

Just a point, we have noticed that when you are not sick and people ask about you and you say your are fine, they dont know how to answer that very well. They go through all the usual stuff, but if you aren't attending meetings, then you must be sick....that's the only possible excuse for not going isn't it??
One guy come up to us in the supermarket and wondered how we were going in the other congregation in our city. We said we dont go there, we dont go anywhere, he was dumbfounded, didn't know what to say! -

Chemical sensitivities is the best, old sister so and so's perfume nearly kills me, and the after shave of brother smith, well, i dont know at what reject shop he buys that. Then the arsnic fumes that come off that carpet and combine that with the acylic paint fumes! as well as the exhaust fumes from young brother speed demons car, he just cant start the thing and leave, no he has to warm it up for 10 minutes.........
This chemical syndrome is a beautiful thing. Oh and by the way, your deodorant is giving me a headache right now!!!! LOL
