Once at a district convention, a guy wandered in and sat in front of us. He had a couple of attendants tagging him. As the public talk ended and people called their hands of, he got real agigtated.
AS the clapping died down, he stood up and yelled at the top of his voice: "Use your instinct" we were dumbfounded at this guy, didn't understand his problem at all, but now...
He was absolutely correct. Use your instinct. Do you make the choices or are they made for you? What happens to you if you choose another path? Are you penalized for that choice? Will your "friends" still love and respect you? Will they still seek to associate with you?
Use your instinct. It is only JW speak that has us needing to belong to a true and correct and only one organization.

Do you know why the WT wants to be called "the branch" and not "society?
by flag inone elder in my (or ex) cong.
is always correcting himself every time he says "society".
he always goes "upps, excuse me the branch says this and that bla bla bla bla".

This is why in the late 80's and earliy 90's all the suckey wannabe's started going on about the faithful slave says this, the faithful slave says that and so on, praying for the faithful slave blah blah blah, even caught myself doing it at times.....
As if the entire group supposedly represented by the "faithful slave" ever had any real input into the www at all. The GB trying to shift the spot light to take the heat of themselves. Why else did they cease being members of the corporation of the WTS, to stop from being sued by all the pedophile victims. And maybe, hopefully one day those who have lost family because of the blood issue and what about those of us who had wasted years and years swollowing the BS?
If you redirect who is responsible, it just gets lost in words.....

What and how does the dragnet figure for JW's today? The WT article that explained it all in great details was in 1992....much has changed since then, now it doesn't make any sense at all as far as a prophetic illustration? Did Jesus mean for a story to be a prophecy anyway?

I love this show, and would like a Number 6 to do the vacuuming at home, it would make life much easier for my wife...............
I download torrents and watch the latest episodes each week.....great. I thought it was a bit weak to start off with, but it has gained a lot of strength as time rolls on and now I am hooked. It sure beats going to meetings!!!!

What did you take with you when you left the organization?
by coffee_black inleaving the organization, it is like packing for a journey you can choose what you take with you, and what you leave behind (other than people).
there are things i chose to take with me.
for example, i have used the sales training to my advantage over the years.

Elders playing GOOD COP - BAD COP.....Test your knowledge HERE!
by Trojan inmany of you have notices how the pictures in the literature have "subliminal" messages (not hidden pictures, i mean subtle messages to the mind).
here's a little, fun test:.
who's the bad guy in the picture and why do you say so?.

The shirt collar give it away, it is done like that for a purpose, to distract the young middle guy from what is really going on. The left guy with the collar problem is the good guy, he thinks that he is genuinely trying to help this young guy with the scriptures and sincerely believes what he is saying. The older guy on the right is in the supreme position of being able to sit back, and plan his attack. He sees the smirk on the kids face, he sees what scriptures lefty is using and he knows which ones he should have been using as they discussed in the half hour before the young kid turned up.
So as soon as lefty shuts up, he is going to jump in and kick both their asses.
He has already decided the kid should go, and when they report back to the body they will both agreee and the third member of the JC will then come in on it. And majority rules, so the kid is gone. He should have stopped a long time ago, he should have done more study, more prayer and definitely gone to more meetings and much more service.
So I vote that the bad cop is the guy on the right. -

Speaking in tongues
by Stewart75 inthere's something which has crossed my mind too often, after doing some research, meeting people myself- i have become more convinced that speaking in tongues was mis interpretered wrongly by the pentecostals.
i would be interested to hear jw's view of speaking in tongues and why jehovah witness classify them as one of the christodom.
which of their any of their customs/traditions which bible doesnt support, i am just trying to make myself aware, with help if possible.. clarification would be much appreciated
