My wife read an Alister Crowley book. He talks about black magic etc and the understanding was that it is a Satanic ritual..The refusal to partake of the blood and body of Christ!!!
So anyone who refuses the "emblems" is actually a Satanist! According to Crowley.....

Younger Witnesses less fanatical or fundamental
by optimisticskeptic ini am a born in jw for over 30 years now and have been in various positions in the organization.
now i'm guessing most of us recognize that older generations tend to be more fundamental and less reasonable when it comes to their outlook and beliefs.
i find this to mirror the differences you see outside of the organization as well (older people less tolerant of other religions, newer technology, lgbt, etc.).

It would seem to me that there are a lot of lazy people in it today! Sitting by some trolley with books and magazines on it, no one really stopping to look and the three people guarding it would more than likely be annoyed when someone stops to look, as they have to pause their conversations.
JW's as a whole have gotten soft! Yes no one could explain most of the Franz doctrines, most didn't care to even try. Yet some of these younger ones, are still very haughty when it comes to those who have left.
And, by the way, regardless of how moderate it gets, it is still ALL BS!

The book burning has started
by pale.emperor indon't know if this is a global thing but i've just been told by a pimo member of my old congregation that a min servant has been given the task of destroying all old books/literature in the kh library prior to 1992.. could be the elders (or even one of them) on a mission to stamp out dissent as my ex-wife used the same reasoning to her elder dad that i used in my jc: rutherfords books containing failed predictions.. anyone else heared anything?.
the ms who's been given the task is a company man.
no hope of him keeping them or selling them on ebay.. they have some russell books in that library too.

Didn't they used to have people buying up the old books that listed on ebay? We bought one of the rutherford books and it cost a fortune!
I still have Macmillans book and Marty Cole book "borrowed from the library before we walked!

My last "Instruction Talk" [yes it has been a while] was from the "All scriptures inspired" book on Chronology, I didn't like the tone, so I superimposed Ray Franz material over the top. No one ever said anything!

Animals were created without needing Toilet Paper ... but not Man ... Why???
by RubaDub inmy dog and other pets do their "business" and run away and are happy.. man does not have that luxury.
any thoughts on why animals were created with the "poop and go" capacity while man has to go through more steps?
was this perhaps an additional issue that god added on when adam and eve sinned (such as eve having significant more birth pains)?

jwleaks... I actually bought one of those squatty potty steps and they are great!!
But... we have a family joke related to when you do your "brown" stuff and don't need to use much paper for the clean up... we call it a "new system poo" I kid you not!

My wife had a couple of sessions with a Psychologist while we were still "in"..she found it exceptionally helpful. The lady asked her to imagine her life "without guilt".... that was around the start of our gearing up to do exactly that... which means you need to LEAVE.

That tub in the floor at Melton has been since they built the place... Ok for 2 or 3 but everything gets saturated if there are many more... everyone can sit in their chairs and eat lunch and watch the dunking!

Another thought... 10 of us could read a Phantom comic. Then someone in the group could ask a question. Based on the information that we are given in the comic, we could then do our best to answer the question. If the majority of us agree on the given answer from the comic, then that must be the answer. Holy Spirit has now spoken...the channel!!
We could then claim to be the spokeman or channel on earth between God, the Phantom and the rest of mankind.
This could take on!!!!!

They don't claim to be "divinely inspired" if they were actually channeling God, it would be a different story too! The apostles may have channeled or been high on LSD, but this so call governing body don't do this. I remember that it all comes down to a popular vote, the "ayes" have it!! No channeling there!
Wish they did channel...Arcturians, Pleiadians, Orion Council.... anything but Annunaki jehovah...or enlil or.....
