  Manuscript style public talks because of littletoe?

  i downloaded and heard the "da" talk by littletoe and man all i can say is that it reminded me of that phrase in that def leppard song "it's better to burn out, than to fade away!".

  that was tremendous.

  i read on another thread that this is the reason why the new public talk outlines are now more manuscript than before.

  I take it you didn't stick around for the Watchtower study? If so, did you try to comment?

  I noticed that towards the end you sounded a bit rushed. Were you worried about them trying to haul you're ass off the stage?

  This is soo true. I was the only person taking notes and paying attention at the meetings as far as I could see when I tried to go back last time. Thats why I disassociated myself. Because when you really pay attention you realize how its all a bunch of theories.

  Jehover's Witness on Discovery Health channel last night -- No Blood

  last night i was channel surfing when i came across a discovery health program that followed cases in an emergency room.

  one of them was about a jw woman who had some sort of head injury.

  to be honest, i did not watch the whole thing, but i did manage to record it on my dvr while i watched other things.

  A religion with nothing to Celebrate

  how sad that the witnesses have nothing to celebrate.

  the more i think about it since i stopped going to the meetings, the more i feel that spirituality and religion are about opportunities to give thanks and to celebrate life with family and friends.

  christenings or name giving ceremonies celebrate the gift of a new life to a family.

  I remember them saying that "we celebrate every day" and "we don't need a reason to celebrate, we can do it anytime". But we never did. All I got was picked on in school and made to feel like a little freak for most of my pre-teen years. I know that there are people that have it much worse in the world and its what helps me to not feel sorry for myself. But I just know that when I have kids, things are going to be much different for them. It's all I can do to not grow bitter and hate that stupid cult with a passion.

  yes, again... after reading numerous posts on this site and doing some research on my own, i have a strong feeling that my whole belief will soon stand or fall with the understanding of 'this generation'.. matthew 24:3 .."tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of your presence and of the conclusion of the system of things?".

  matthew 24:7 for nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another.. matthew 24:34 truly i say to you that this generation will by no means pass away until all these things occur.. .

  generation:noun: group of genetically related organisms constituting a single step in the line of descent noun: the normal time between successive generations example: "they had to wait a generation for that prejudice to fade".
