Man it really sounds like your parents could be coming around! It seems strange that they would just call you in the middle of the day to tell you in a round about way that they arent really into going to all the assembly (especially since you arent active!). Maybe they are seeing the light and just want you give em a little push or something. Hope things pan out for you dude.

pioneer wife he's a young go getter elder really an up and comer type thing very influential friends really plays the politic game etc... anyway lately he seems a bit depressed, sleeps a lot, seems distracted... now he has recently started his own business and i know that me leaving the troof has bothered him so maybe thats all there is too it but maybe not!.

my ex tried to delay it just yesterday by faxing a sloppy handwritten note to the judge, to tell him he couldnt make it because he doesnt have a license,(suspended for dwi) and hasnt attended any of the hearings at all.
he owes me over $5,000 for child support (deadbeat dad).

Yes.. I am also very cultured. I enjoy hiking, working out, long walks on the beach, and making fun of the "Revelation" book. My biggest turn offs are elders and false prophecys.

what's the deal in the 'new system'?
by Pleasuredome inof course i wouldnt want to encourage speculation, but when i was involved in the jws there was sometimes talk of what would or wouldn't be in/acceptable in 'the new system'.
i heard some happifying comments like there wont be any electric guitars or transport, and we wont be wearing clothes but we'll still have seasons

One of the things I liked most about CoC was that it got me realizing that scriptures should be taken in context. I always just thought the dubs were right because they used the Bible so much.. but it was always flipping around to some obscure scriptures in the old testament or whereever else they could find vauge support for their dogma. On the flip side, the ambiguous nature of the Bible got me questioning its inspiration as well.
