i just thought i'td be neet to get a poll of how many people on this board are still meeting attending, time reporting publishers, who believe the wts is all crap?.

I really think this is true too. You gotta feel sorry for some of these people. A lot of them just don't know where else to go and they stick around with the dubs because it offers some sort of hope, even if at the very core its all crap.

i believe that most people are what they are----whether they were jws or are exes.
for example, if you were a basically happy go lucky person in the hall, you probably have that same nature now.
conversely, if you were accused of always complaining and being miserable then, you probably still bitch and moan now.
I feel like I'm a part of the human race now. It's not a euphoric feeling of bliss or anything since leaving the dubs, but for me there is peace in knowing that all of us people are in this thing called life together. I have a better sense of caring and empathy for people that I didn't feel as a dub. I can say what I feel like and people don't judge me for being myself.
So no, my personality hasn't changed at all I'm just able to express it now.

I also saw that fifth estate episode about child abuse in the JW's. That's when I really started researching, initially as a half assed JW apologist, on the internet. More than anything though it was the 'Revelation: It's Grand Climax at Hand!' book that made me feel like an outsider while still a dub. It's just theory riddled silliness. Studying that book years ago made me sick, thats when I started doubting and thinking for the first time.

I thought a starvation protest would work really well against the GB, especially with the blood policy issue. It would get great coverage by the media.

i just got off the webcam with my dad and things just seem so much better between us now that i'm no longer a witness.
i think he feels that sense that this might be it, even though he still attends, and that opens up something really magical in our conversations.
