Im all for DA'ing personally. It does depend on your circumstances, I agree. But drifting was not even an option for me personally. I didn't care that my family and friends would accept me, if not, SCREW them. You end up a slave to your family and that religion if you don't take a stand for yourself and stand up for something at least once in your life. Those assholes will always have you on their list, you will always be considered 'weak'; just a sad soul needing 'encouragement'. Is that what you want? Just do what you think is best.

how do they explain more people this year than lasts?

i thought the number was suppose to get lower as they died off?

Whats the point in even trying to makes sense of this stuff anyways? Is it too much to ask that God show us the proper way without having to create theorys and assumptions to form some sort of 'faith'? Give me a break. If there is a God of this universe my guess is that he is NOTHING like us, doesnt think the way we do or care the same way we do in our limited perception. I've said it before and I'll say it again, if you are trying to make sense of the Bible in its entirety to predict the future you are setting yourself up to be let down.

i am a baptised jw and am wanting to disassociate myself.

i am looking to find someone who has left this org to give me some idea on the letter to write and how they dealt with their friends who shunned them

My DA letter was really simple.. all I said was to please disassociate me from the Watchtower society. You will need to sign it, date it, and get another person to do the same. You can just stick it in the kingdom hall door in an envelope, but make sure to specify what congregation on it.
